I think the fact is, most of today's singers are exactly role models and shouldn't be as "worshipped" as they are.

Ummm...I like Keane, Coldplay and The Killers and will always dig Depeche Mode (I still get made fun of for that).
The Oakridge Boys can remain retired.

No way, Depeche Mode rocks. Didn't he try to kill himself back in the day?

Yeah, Dave Gahan was really strung out in the early 90's and did overdose. Fortunately, he survived and is now clean and sober.
New album in October, too!

07-20-2005 02:41 PM #38Who ever said it was only rap artists? No one, so I dont understand what you mean. Who doesnt shoot up drugs? It's not limited to any music genre. Snoop and Co. are runing around bragging about their weed, very respectable in the eyes of the young kids who sadly look up to someone who was no different from the days of selling drugs on the streets, the difference is now they're filthy rich for having no talent.

Yeah, it always cracks me up that the rappers are always ex drug dealers or gang bangers. Nice. Like I'm supposed to respect them or enjoy them now that they are "cleaned up" singing about their gin and juice.
