NEWS: Pixar 2nd quarter profit drops

Mort,the proft drop came from a movie they *did* release,The Incredibles.It wasnt the fact that they pushed Cars back,its the fact that Incredibles didnt do as well as Nemo in the box office or in DVD sales.

Well this report was through Q2 of 05. There has been no major movie released fiscally this year. Only DVD sales.

Jim Hill just had a new article about Cars, it doesn't sound like it's having too much trouble.......

This bodes well for DCA's new E-ticket. But then again, Jim Hill thought Home on the Range would do boffo at the box office. Bust a moo...

Jim Hill has friends in animation,so almost everything that comes out of the studios he seems to have high hopes for,I cant say that I blame him,if I had friends working on those projects I would probably root for them as well.I think anyone would.However you still have to realize that this is the case and his view of these films might be a bit rosier than what is actually there.

Thanks for the article C. I'm very excited about Cars. Looks like they're finishing the movie on their original release schedule. It'll be good that they have all this extra time to fine 'tune' things.

Can't wait for next summer.
