Disney to release "Bridge to Terabithia", Ann-Margret to star in "Santa Clause 3"

The classic 1977 childrens novel by Katherine Paterson will be turned into a major motion picture by Disney and Walden Media, the team behind The Chronicles of Narnia series. Disney will hold US distribution rights only.

Production will begin in New Zealand in February, and the film will hit theatres in spring 2007. Gabor Csupo, co-founder of Klasky/Csupo (the company behind Rugrats) will direct.

And in other Disney film news, Ann-Margret will play Tim Allen's mother-in-law in Santa Clause 3, joining new villain Martin Short, who will play Jack Frost.

wierd, I read that book in fourth grade, kinda hazy how it could be a movie, I mean, its pretty slow.

as for the Santa Clause 3, all I can say is meh.

I remember LOVING bridge to terebithia-- it was wonderful and a bit angsty... always a plus. here's hoping the movie is good. Martin short and Ann-Margaret should be hilarious, I hope the 3rd is more like the 1st Santa Clause than the 2nd...
