I have to agree with many of the posts from people who have seen the show. The story was severely lacking and they missed many opportunities to futher develop characters/utilize the aerial choreography for anything other than monkeys on bungee cords.
Don't even get me start on the stupid shadow puppet sequence.
However, I did enjoy the opening scenes, as well as when Tarzan and Jane are at the top of the rainforest. I also thought Terk stole any scene that he was in."And for performing with 'Magic Music Days'.....you get a one size fits no-one t-shirt!" --A Disney CM

I got the original cast recording on Tuesday, and it is certainly a well-produced record. Sounds gorgeous.
Having seen the show, the CD is a refresher of songs I didn't know initially, and there are still several gems in the score. Besides the old songs from the movie, "For the First Time", "Everything That I Am", "As Sure As Sun Turns To Moon" and "Waiting For This Moment" are particularly good. I literally cannot get that last one out of my head. So darn catchy.
I think "Everything That I Am" is just gorgeous, and it leads right into a stunning duet of "You'll Be In My Heart" with smooth, delectable harmonies for Kala and Tarzan.
Buy the CD. It's good.Jaleel White does not approve.
