The Lion King

Who here has seen the Lion King? We saw it in LA and I thought it was great. The opening scene did it for me. I was not impressed with the children who played young simba and nala...they were not up to the standard the first Broadway cast set. I thought adult Nala and simba were great though. We actually saw the adult Nala later in AIDA where she was able to show her amazing talent as AIDA.

The Lion King is really my absolute favorite musical (though I haven't seen Aida yet). When I first saw the show on Broadway, they held the curtian for 15 min so that everone could see the opening scene! That first scene is probably one of the best full cast numbers I have ever seen.
