Well, the new trailer before Pirates certainly puts to rest debate of whether there would be a lot of ghosts in the film, and if it would reflect the ride at all. It showed the hitchhiking ghosts, Leota (of course), the ballroom dancers, the hearse crashing through the wall and the knight among others.

Visually it looks awesome, lets hope Eddie Murphy is due and doesn't ruin this thing.

I saw the preview on the official movie site (I'm going to Pirates tomorrow.). I have to admit, I like the movie's mansion's detail. Very very nice. I wonder how they are going to do the following busts and changing painting in the Hall of Limbo. I can see they are already going to tackle the ledgendary Knight in the Endless Hallway that was removed for one reason or another (see doombuggies.com or some other thread here. It's been discussed.)

I wonder what the curse is that they meantion? Think it will have anything to do with the "curse" behind Phantom Manor in Paris?

The trailer looks awesome. I have a lot of faith in Rob Minkoff as a director. Hopefully Beverly Hills Cop Eddie shows up over Pluto Nash. Daddy Day care had an excellent box office run making about $100 million. However, I do like the way the trailer makes the film seem genuinely creepy. I loved pirates. Here's to Disney making quality movies once again.

Look, I"m not really feeling one way or another about the movie, but I seem to be in the minority. I saw the 7:30 pirates tonight at Big Newport (billed as the largest screen west of the mississippi), and after the haunted mansion trailer, people applauded. loudly. I can't really explain, but it seems the buzz on the movie is good thus far.

It looks good. The trailer has me feeling a lot better about this one...just like the Pirates trailer did.

There seem to be more nods to the ride in this trailer than there were in the Pirates trailer too.

It even gives us the Thurl Ravenscroft bust that everyone thinks is Walt (if I'm not mistaken, right after the ballroom scene) - which I think is GRRRRREAT!
