I'd much rather have Snow White than more Toy Story nonsense.

I'd also rather have a show based on an actual musical like Hercules or Sleeping Beauty.

We will see what the show is like when it opens on the Disney Cruise ship...I am sure that plans for it to be in Disneyland won't be finalized until they see how popular it is on the ship. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't want to bring a show to two areas that may be a flop.

You know, I agreed with you up until this weekend.

I included this picture in my update:

Because it was kinda like an epiphony moment. This is pretty much the typical crowd around Woody and Jesse. Sure, all the characters get mobbed but Woody and Jesse are just always SWAMPED. The characters are still popular and Disney knows that, more lastingly so, IMO than Nemo.

So is the Snow White show at the Fantasyland theatre dead and not coming back?

Most likely yes. I'd be very surprised if Snow White was seen ever again.

Can the same happen with the rest of the princesses, too?

Oh...you meant the show. My bad.

So what. They are already building another Toy Story ride. That's enough of one franchise. They need to think outside the box and come up with something else.

There's a big chance people will get tired of Toy Story after 3 films. 2 rides and a stage show. Pooh anyone?

I find the process of turning decade plus old Disney movies into stage musicals for the parks a dubious one. I've seen Aladdin (just bad ick), Snow White (boring ick) and Finding Nemo, and Nemo is the only one I've really liked.

I would prefer to see a new show, but if Toy Story is entertaining and gets the job done, then bring it on. At least it could be a repeatable show, unlike Snow and Aladdin, neither of which I could bring myself to sit through more than twice. I just want a GOOD show. That's all I want.

I know you dont like Aladdin but Snow White was just so painful. Both times I saw it, large amounts of people got up halfway through and left.

I don't think it matters what story/film is used, it all depends on the execution and story-line. Snow White? What a dump!
