| Toilet paper is so 1880s! | Toy Story: The Musical to premiere on Disney Wonder, April 2008 The composers of the new songs for Disney Creative Entertainment's Toy Story: The Musical, the duo known as GrooveLily, confirm on their website that they are indeed writing a 55-minute musical based on Pixar's first film. According to their site, Mindi Dickstein (Little Women) is writing the book, and the only song from the film that will be retained is "You've Got A Friend In Me." A piece of concept art for this project was in the 2006 Annual Report for the Walt Disney Company. The musical is slated to premiere on the Disney Wonder cruise ship in April 2008. Rumors indicate that the show is also bound for Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre after it is enclosed. http://www.groovelily.com/newsletter...etter0702.html __________________ Try harder. | 2,000 Plus Club Member | Yeeehaa...it was great hearing Anne talk about this one on the ship in November. If it is anything like Nemo, we are in for a treat. I just know they can't do anything that dynamic on a cruise ship because of space limitations. So, hopefully, if it comes to Disneyland it gets some expansions.... They used the former US Festival stage to create Videopolis in something like three to four months. It seemed very temporary back then. Over the years, though, they've added more and more to it. After 22 years, I guess it's not going anywhere too soon. So if they enclose it, I hope they finally make it feel more permanent. __________________ ... | |

Maybe it was leaked and I just wasn't paying attention. __________________ ... | |

| Toilet paper is so 1880s! | No, I don't think it was leaked yet. It's no secret that the Princess installation is not doing well...it is grossly unpopular with guests and cast members alike. If the Princess thing makes it through this year, the theater will then be closed for its rebuild. It could happen as soon as the fall, and we may still see a return of Snow White just for the summer. That scenario is unlikely, but being tossed around nonetheless. __________________ Try harder.
