Alec & Steve were funny. But, why did they show such L~ong clips for the supporting actor/actress categories? AND, why did they not invite the previous year's actors/actresses back to hand out the awards? I am all for trying something new, but the breaking of tradition, in this instance, annoyed me terribly.

I just realized that they did invite the previous year's actors back... I remembered wrong and thought Mickey Rourke won Best Actor last year! I was kind of looking forward to him being a train wreck.

Well, I still stand by my reasoning as to why I personally think him being included was appropriate.
But don't get me wrong, I am not saying he deserved it more than anyone else. Again, he got the same few seconds as everyone else.
And Farrah, if she was a member of the Academy for over 40 years, should have been included. If they included Michael, as I said for being probably such a huge and influential star (besides his few real contributions to the actual film industry), then Farrah should have been included as well (even if she was more known for her television work).

On another note, what was up with George Clooney all night? He sure didn't seem like he wanted the camera pointed at him...not sure if he was just joking, or was actually in a funky mood...
not to mention, did the director not catch some of the oddest facial expressions at some of the oddest moments throughout the show? For one, Morgan Freeman looked like he was going to fall asleep.
