To my understanding, the Carrousel was actually closer to the Castle. How they did this, I have no idea.
Visit the MIBoards.com Guidelines Page for rules and regulations.
DCA is a creative and marketing failure. It's so bad, it's good. That's the unofficial motto of DCA.

driftwood714 is correct! It is hard to imagine, but it worked because the dark ride facades were pushed back farther, and stair-stepped (instead of pushed out and flush with each other as they are now). You can see a rough approximation below, with the purple showing the old layout. The Carousel is closest to the Castle, the Teacups behind it, and Dumbo off to the left.
You're up, driftwood...got a trivia question?

Hi Christi! Welcome to the boards--I'm fairly new here, too. No, I don't work for Disney, although once upon a time...I did. Not any high level position, just a Disneyland CM while going to college. Always loved Disney, though, and did my fair share of exploring while working there (hence, my screen name). Always so much to see and find out--all pretty fascinating.
Thanks for asking. BTW, I like your avatar...although the colors were brighter a little while ago. What happened?!

Hey Explorer! I changed the Avatar, the other had Prince Phillip and the Fairies, this doesn't. I wanted to put in a variety. Thanks for the compliment and the welcome!Originally posted by Explorer'sClub

How about this one. Has Dumbo always flown over a fountain? Show a picture to prove your answer.
