    Nope...talking about a different eating establishment. The same Hungry Bear restaurant, that is there today, opened under a different name when Bear Country opened in 1972 (Mile Long Bar opened at the same time in a different location). What was Hungry Bear's original name? And why was it changed?

    Yes! I believe it was the Golden Bear Restaurant, though, instead of Lodge (but I could be wrong). It was changed because there was a club in Huntington Beach (before it was redeveloped) called the Golden Bear--one of the few OC clubs to feature live bands.
