    Time on Posts

Hey Michael or someone. Why is the time on the post always some weird time? Earlier this week I was posting at 3:00pm
California time and it said it was 12:23 Am. I went to the time thing on my user spot and it didn't seem to help.

    Zulu Time - 8:00 hours

    Alpha,
It's actually not some weird or random time, it's called Greenwich Mean Time or GMT (& also referred to as Zulu Time). It's kind of the international, universal time (at least since 1884) that all other time zones are based on.
It's the current time in Greenwich, England, if you click the GMT link above you can read more.

To set or change the time display as you browse MouseTALK go to your "user cp," then go to the red "edit options" link, down toward the bottom you will see the "Date & Time Options" section. There you will see a pull down menu under "Time offset." Use that pull down menu to select the appropriate time adjustment for your time zone. So obviously, your looking for Pacific [Standard] Time, which is basically Zulu Time - 8 hours. As you see, Zulu or GMT is a piece of cake, but then again for me, right now, it's 1706 hours in the afternoon

Mine is boss, it even says "All times are GMT -8 hours. The time now is 05:07 PM" at the bottom of the page.

This new forum has some wicked features, no privacy (when your logged on) but cool stuff. I just looked at the "who's on line" thing, tell's right where everyone is big bro style.

    I don't live in Africa

OH MY----------I think I have found the problem. I live in Monrovia, California................. and the system thinks I live in Monrovia, in Africa! When I switch the time to Westcoast time............it just switches me back. Got a solution for that?
Or do I just have to stay on Africa time?

    Alpha,
it doesn't matter where you live, you can opick any of them.
Here's what's hapening, after you select the Pac Coast time (GMT - 8 HRS), notice how it is still "selected," like highlighted in blue....you need to click again (probably outside that field) & un-highlight it, then submit changes.
It's not really selected until you get rid of the dark blue accoss the field.
Hope that makes sense, it can be adjusted if done properly.
