Boy, that's a really dumb question.

Click the "User CP" button on the top of the page, and "Edit Options". There's a yes/no prompt about 1/3 down the page. Turn that OFF.Visit the MIBoards.com Guidelines Page for rules and regulations.

No kidding, it's a pain to get an email everytime.
It's a piece of cake remedy.
1) Click on the User Control Panel button=>
<= located in the upper left of nearly every MI page while your logged on.
2) Click the red edit options link.
3) The 6th option down is Use 'Email Notification' by default?. Just make sure that option is clicked no.
4) Click the Submit Modifications button at the bottom of page.
You may find other useful settings there, such as the Default Posts per Thread: option, set it up to max 40 posts per page.

LOL.
How did you get rid of the chinese spam? I'm curious because I'm on a Korean spam list.Visit the MIBoards.com Guidelines Page for rules and regulations.

I use Outlook, and I created a rule for my inbox that says
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with
Ô or ¾ or Ç or § or É or ½ or Í or ò or Ë or ® or Ä or ã or Ï or Ö or Ô in the subject or body
permanently delete it
and stop processing more rules.
That gets rid of most all of it. If you get more, just find a character in the body or the subject and add it to the list, then that's taken care of. My list is a bit longer than this, but I can't seem to copy and paste it out of outlook.
If you use a different mail program, create a filter for your mail that uses the above characters, and you'll see very few chinese and other foreign spam again. You may contact me via jonvn@nadelberg.com.

Thanks Jon.. That's a great idea, but I want to prevent that stuff from being sent to me altogether. It's a good alternative though.
