(Hong Kong, May 26, 2010) Summer is just around the corner and Stitch cannot wait to party with his friends at Hong Kong Disneyland! From June 11 to August 29, Stitch will be throwing a summer party, “Stitch & Friends Summer Hangout” with all new fun-filled activities across the whole Resort.

Some never before seen Disney friends will join the fun and meet their fans at the Stitch and Friends Summer Surprise. They will also be hosting mini-parties across the resort; Buzz Lightyear Intergalatic Party, Adventureland Oasis Party and Fantasyland Play Party. And there will be two all-new cool Summer Lounges for those who want to chill out.

“Summer is the best time of year for hanging out. The more friends you have with you, the more fun it is! That’s why Stitch is calling for all his best buddies to join him this Summer, including many new faces to Hong Kong Disneyland Guests,” said Frederick Chan, Director of Marketing, Hong Kong Business, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. “Stitch & Friends Summer Hangout is the biggest-ever summer program at Hong Kong Disneyland. From energetic and exciting activities to cool and relaxing Summer Lounges, there are so many ways for Guests to enjoy the Hong Kong Disneyland Summer Fun with friends and families.”


Meet Eight Disney Friends in one-go at the “Stitch and Friends Summer Surprise”
Over 20 Disney Friends will join Stitch this summer at the “Stitch and Friends Summer Surprise”. Besides the very popular Lilo from “Lilo & Stitch”, Woody & Jessie from “Toy Story”,Pinocchio from the movie “Pinocchio”, and Rafiki from “Lion King”, Stitch has also gathered some very special Disney friends who will be on hand to meet Guests for the very first time at Hong Kong Disneyland, they include Mr. & Mrs. Incredible and Frozone from “The Incredibles”, Genie, Jasmine and Aladdin from the movie “Aladdin”, Sulley from “Monsters Inc”, and Carl & Russell from “UP”. Stitch, along with seven of his friends, will greet Guests at the forecourt of the Sleeping Beauty Castle every day. Be prepared to meet with a different set of Disney friends each time!


Join the Dancing at the Buzz Lightyear Intergalactic Party
At Tomorrowland, space hero Buzz Lightyear and his pretty Space Rangers will greet Guests who join his Buzz Lightyear Intergalactic Summer Party. A live D.J. will be playing the hippest tunes throughout the day and interacting with Guests. Remember to capture your best poses at the Little Green Men Photo Zone. Don’t miss the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters Playoffs to compete for the title of space cadet champion. From 1 to 5pm daily, the highest level achieved every hour will be announced on the outdoor plasma screens and Buzz Lightyear will hold a ceremony to award the space cadet champion of the day.


Feel the heartbeat of the Jungle at the Adventureland Oasis Party
To enjoy the real spirit of adventure, Guests should join Terk and Timon to enjoy some wild jungle fun at the Adventureland Oasis Party. Don’t be shy, perform the limbo with high-energy tropical music along with jungle drummers in Jungle Boogie Fun during the day. In the evening, the partygets intense with the fun of Wild Rhythms as fire knife dancers showcase performances all the way from the South Seas. Check out Goofy in his favorite wetsuit as he gets wet and wild at the Liki Tikis!


Enjoy Magical Fun at Fantasyland Play Party
To enjoy some summer magic, join the Fantasyland Play Party with Minnie Mouse and her friends. They have prepared a series of interactive summertime games for everyone. Get ready to soak in the sunlight and play beach ball with Pluto, learn how to hula hoop with Minnie Mouse or create giant bubbles with Donald or Daisy. The Park has invited a group of sand sculpture artists from the U.S. to create three different Fantasyland Sand Sculptures featuringDisney friends which will be on show at different times over the summer.

A Cool Time Out at the Summer Lounges
After taking part in all the parties, Guests can revitalize at the all-new Starliner Diner iCafe and Hang Loose Camp,both presented by furniture brand Agio, at Tomorrowland and Adventureland respectively. For HK$88 each, Guests can enjoy the special relaxing zones and ice-cold beverage and summer menus. At the Starliner Diner iCafe, guests can stay connected online with free Wi-Fi network, and play special iPad games and applications. At the Hang Loose Camp, which is located next to the Riverview Café, Guests can enjoy the summer breeze, while treating themselves to a free sample of OasisTM hydrating treatment from skincare brand H2O Plus upon meal purchase. And instantly cool down with a refreshing spray of H2O Plus Oasis Mist TM from Fridays to Sundays.

Collect Disney Character Trading Cards and Make New Friends this Summer
It’s all about making new friends this summer with the Stitch & Friends Collect and Trade Game. The Park is launching more than 20 unique collectable Disney Character trading cards this summer that will be distributed in the Park; giving everyone the opportunity to make friends while collecting the full set.

Stitch’s Summer Dance Bash and Mickey’s WaterWorks are Back!
Back by popular demand, Stitch will once again lead Stitch’s Summer Dance Bash with his friends; Mr. Incredible, Genie, Ariel and Goofy for a high energy dance party on Main Street U.S.A. Join the laughter as everyone does Stitch’s signature “626 Dance” or plays beach volleyball. Guests can also soak up the summer fun and cool down by joining Mickey and his friends for the Mickey’s WaterWorks parade.

After a whole day of laughter and partying with your family and friends, it’s time to shop and bring home some cool summer souvenirs. There are over 80 new summer merchandise items featuring Ice Cream World Stitch, ranging from t-shirts, accessories, toys, stationery; take these cool souvenirs home to keep you smiling all summer long! Hong Kong Disneyland is also supporting summer football fever with a series of football-themed merchandise for football fans!


For the best chill out moments with friends and family, all new summer-themed menus are also available throughout the Park.
