Fine, but the sweeping changes to the building codes, for single family homes, in regards to Earthquake rediness, was in 1976 as a result of That quake...Originally Posted by ExClub

NO w00t-w00ting in my forum! i won't allow it!

DrinkSumPepsi - earthquakes can be felt for hundreds of miles from the epicenter. So if its a large enough quake centered somewhere in the high desert, its definitely going to be felt in Anaheim and in San Diego. Maybe not as strongly as it is close to the epicenter, it will still be felt.--The Wise One--

Awesome, I always used to eat at the Dennys there on Roxford as a kid... the housing development used to be a field of goats that my parents would always take me to go pet...

Attmitedly living on the fifth floor of a dorm residence hall is quite scary in the thought of an earthquake. I remember one morning at around 3am there was an aftershock, both my roommates were away for the weekend... it was very freaky.Last edited by dlfreak; 04-15-2004 at 10:44 PM.

I remember the goats. There is still a big chunk of undeveloped land South of Denny's. I'm sure it will be turned into something soon enough. Off of Foothill, the last open plots of land are being turned into houses.

Re: Large Earthquake to hit Southern California by september 2004
I just remember all the minor ones around the time of Northridge farther East---there was one that moved my bed in Flagstaff AZ---now that's wierd! I was in another smaller one in SoCal in '95 (I think)
Since I've never been in a big one...I'm not really afraid.

Re: Large Earthquake to hit Southern California by september 2004
my mistake i meant to add that it would not cause in destruction but it would be felt such as rumbling but not as strong to cause a house to fall unless its made out of straw. w00t
