Yeah I'm sure that will work.Maybe one of you humanitarians can tell me how many pieces of chicle do you have to sell to buy an eightball?

Re: I want to help poor kids in Mexico

I paid a mexican boy in ensenada, maybe about 10 years old, to find me a good parking spot and then to watch my car while I went out drinking and playing....he was very happy to do it, and I think I paid him $10 or so... this was some time ago....

he was the cutist little kid though and very nice....

most southern ca chruches have outreach programs in mexico, as well as most christian colleges... they I imagine would always have a way to get a donation where it needed to go...

okay . you (sugarholic) said you live 40 miles away from the border right? well i know there is a church in san diego called calvary chapel. there are many other calvary chapels around so cal and they own homes and places of refuge throughout baja. they can recieve the clothes and ship it to them on there next trip. one most common refuge that calvary chapel has is a home for woman and children called LA Posada. here is the web page to find the nearest clavary chapel near you.

also.. do a search for Baja Vision Ministries. They build decent housing throughotu baja.. and run an orphanage. Sergio, who started BVM, is an awesome man with an awesome family and is true to his cause. He was one of those "street kids" but got some success and is giving back. I love Sergio and Mrs Sergio!! Our youth group builds with him every year. And when we have a year of a very "healthy" love offering... we set aside some for him and his family, and its never accepted. Hes true to his word and his goal of putting as many people into a safer and more sturdy home and providing them with necesitties.

Re: I want to help poor kids in Mexico

When i was younger my family and I went to Mexcian Border and Gave ton's of old clothes away, and i will never forget their reaction. We took two huge bags of clothes that we didnt need any more and went to this very poor, dirt ground neigborhood and we stood around not sure who to give them too. So my mom gave them to a lady passing by and they were very scared, they took the bags and ran off. I think that moment chaned my life forever, you dont know how much you have untill you see how little others have. I feel lucky and every time i go to mexico (i am mexican ) i take clothes money and things people might need.
