Check out today's new Miceage article...I found the picture of the "new" splash mountain log seating quite interesting...

That's a TERRIBLE seating arrangement! I hate it, hate it, hate it. It doesn't let you look around as much, and you'll see things in the ride like equipment and stuff. Bad move. Although, I did find the Haunted Mansion effect to be interesting (sorry, Marcie, looks like Al found out about the additions to HM) and I can't wait to see it!

I really, really doubt that the seating arrangement shown in the photo is under consideration. I could be wrong, but it probably has something to do with balancing the log during testing.

I mean, going down the drop sideways? No thank you.

It doesn't look to me like they are going down sideways. Looks to me like if you sit in the back row you'll be sitting next to someone. It also looks to me that if you are sitting in the back row with another person you are going to be really cramped and there isn't going to be a place to put your legs and feet.

I agree. Hence, the four front seats have dummies placed to keep the log balanced and we see the addition of an new seat in the back.

If I remember correctly, the logs with the seatbacks sat 5 people at a time. It looks like they have bumped the capacity per-log to six people.

Cool. And yet really cramped at the same time.
