KROQ's Inland Invasion 5
 INLAND INVASION 5 Wholly smackeroonies, Inland Invasion 5 was so much fun!! We got there at like 10am which was when the gates opened and there were two stages, we went to the small stage as there were three performances there until the main bands started on the main stage. On the small stage we saw Kasabian, Fishbone and Bloc Party. After that we went to the main stage and found our special box seats where we placed our VIP stickers on our chests and our VIP bracelets on our wrists. Even outside of Disneyland, we are Premium, it's amazing what flashing the little "P" on our APs can do... After that, while Travis Barker and DJAM were on the main stage we went to the VIP area where KROQ was broadcasting and were treated to free arcade games, skeeball, table soccer, and FOOD including prime-rib and chicken, sliced right there for you, plus salad, potato salad, rolls, free Ben and Jerry ice cream, plus we were RIGHT THERE when Jet, Beck, and Weezer were being interviewed live on KROQ. Smashing good fun! Other bands that were there were the Bravery, Cake, Arcade Fire, Live, Garbage, Jet, Madness, 311, Oasis, and Weezer!! The bold band names were bands that I thought did really great but we missed Madness and 311. WEEZER was definitely my highlight for the day!!! Goddamn it was awesome. Then after they "ended" their set Rivers secretly BOLTED up to RIGHT BEHIND the box seats (ie: Right behind US) and performed an acoustic version of ISLAND IN THE SUN. After that he bolted back down to the stage where they sang two more songs. It sucks that they weren't headlining otherwise the crowd would not have let them stop! So friggin awesome. Did anyone else make it?

Sounds like fun. I do like a few of those bands, and would of probably went if I lived in the area.

I dislike 311 ... when I saw them in person I disliked them even more
 my first concert back in the day was Garbage (opened for the smashing pumpkins )...Did this take place on a Monday? ... if so how yucky ... I hate concerts during the week ... it throws everything off in my life |

It was such an amazing show. 311 rocked the house. They are always good live. For me Beck was my favorite followed by Weezer. Oaisis was horrible. I think Liam was grumpy on Saturday. Being so up close and personal witht he bands while they were being interviewd was a once in a lifetime experience. Beck even signed something for me!! Thought I would die lol.

Hey Evan I've seen madness like 5 or 6 times. I even met a few of the guys at one of their concerts once, because my friends band opened for them. Jealous???
