Ok so I (used) to drive a 2002 Honda Civic, well a few weeks ago it got stolen right in front of my house! can u beleive that! we live in a upper middle class area, not much crime,I was really shocked.
well anyways,to make a long story short, they found the car in Southgate, not bad condition, few dents/scraps,radio stolen etc,but I wont keep it now,it just doesnt feel like my car anymore.
has anyone else expeirenced a car theft? its definatly not fun!
well,at least they wont have to re-program the radio, they probably listen to all that hip hop/rap stuff I listen to lol

I didn't have my whole car stolen, but I did have everything in my car stolen, including the floormats and owners manual....
It sucks knowing someone was in your car. Hope they find the guy that did it."You are about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension...beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination...in the Tower of Terror."

I think it was gang members, there was a long metal tent spike by the drivers seat,as well as a huge magic marker in the backseat that was not mine.I assume the marker was for tagging "graffiti".
Im just thankful that my girlfriend and I didnt walk out on them when they were stealing it,they rpobably would have tried to use that tent spike on us or something. So in that respect we were lucky/blesssed.

Wow Nemo, that totally sucks. Was this the same car that was in the accident too? Maybe it is time for a new car! I hate idiots who mess with other people's property.

Ive had 2 experiences...
1 my wife had a 1996 nissan 200sx and about 10 years ago, it was parked in front of the repair shop to be fixed(duh) and some idiots stole it. and of course they raced it, put a hundred miles or more on it etc. they were caught, and unfortunately in Oregon the crime is "unlawful use of a motorvehicle" punishable by just about nothing.
my experience, I had a really cool 1971 internatonal scout, it was sweet. the person I bought it from had installed wooden boxes on the rear bed. room for lots of tools, etc. so we were in the mountains of Santabarbara, shooting guns, mountain biking (not at the same time) and just screwing around. on the way home we catch a flat tire, right front. could not drive on it, and I didnt have a jack. so we lock the guns etc in the back storage bins, and hitch a ride back to our house, about 20 minutes away. the roommates rode their bikes.
well we get the jack and head up the mountian, and we get there and these idiots broke into the lock boxes and took 2 boxes of tools, the guns, ammo, etc. they also took the tire iron, so I still could not fix the tire. they used the tire iron to open another lock box and stole some personal items, the worst of which was my recently dead grandfathers watch.
ended up limping the truck down the hill on 3 wheels, and got home. went and made a police report, and they took prints from the vehicle, but never caught them.
we saw the guy we thought did it, he say us playing with our guns and we passed him on the road on the way down the hill.
you definitely feel violated.
I feel for you.
if you want Ive got a 92 civic I could sell you cheap!!!DCA 1/2 the park, Same low price....

Nemo...are you insinuating that you and your girlfriend have pre-marital sleepovers?
My father's truck was stolen right out of the driveway. They just got in, popped the E brake, and coasted that thing down the road.MouseInfo Moderator

Sorry, Nemo. Crummy thing to happen. I understand how you must feel "icky" about your car. BUT! nice excuse to go car shopping! Personally, I like those new Toyota FJ Cruisers....cool.

^HEY! Looks like these guys are getting arrested for stealing it!
