How often did you work at Tower? ODF always needed people. I got yanked MANY times from my position to ODF. FEH!

    I'm sorry, honestly.

Fall 2002 wasnt the busiest season on WDW's record books. They were struggling to get everyone their hours. I ER'd every chance I got, and picked up shifts accordingly.

When I worked ODF the people were bitter compared to my location. I think the heat and the job didn't provide for an agreeable work situation. Thankfully I had tons of money, and didn't really need to work. ODF was like living out a sentence on Devil's Island. The only consolation was the free ice cream.

How did you manage to cross-train?

Very bitter. And it wasnt the most friendly place to work either. I kept up the smiles and the service, but many of the kids were just plain mean and bitter. I alwaus understood why, but I never took it out on the guests.

Networking, luck, networking. Joined a theater group that had Tower CMs. They introduced me to Area 3 managers....etc, etc.

I was straight out told not to waste my time being nice, during one of my tours of duty with ODF. None of the ODF people would acknoweldge me, and they all disliked that I could go back to my restaurant(like that was something to be covetous for).

My roomate worked on Tower, and I got to work there one day(standing outside for 6 hrs). It wasn't too special. The managers totally jerked around my roomate with hours. He would be scheduled 6 days a week with 5 hr shifts, with no chance to extend because they were all closing shifts. That stunk, big time.

I managed to get myself into working catering shifts at AK, which was pretty cool. Anything left over we got to take...which ammounted to a very boisterous and welcome return to Vista Way(free food).

What made you want to go back?

When you work ODF, every job looks good. But not even being nice? Thats pretty weak. Which ODF did you work?

What made you want to go back?
When it was all said and done, I had a great time. I liked working for the Mouse and look foward to doing it again.

I worked at Animal Kingdom. My position was at Flame Tree BBQ, which was ok to work at, I enjoyed it, but nothing to be bitter about. The ODF leads(whatever you call them) were ok, but the rank and file were duds. Maybe it was the lack of AC? I know it would be cooler for me to stand next to the smoker than being outside. Heck, it was cooler next to the fryers than standing outside and selling Hercules bars.

I could never go back to work for Disney, unless they offered me at least 34 an hour.

Hey, that's pretty cool that you guys worked on neighboring attractions. Maybe you even were at the same area 3 ops christmas party.
HHH (our area 3 christmas party) Was pretty weak unfortunatly. The only great part was the Jurdy and Benny Playschool happy fun hour. These two friends of mine got up on stage wearing rock'n' roller coaster vests (no undershirt) and speedos. They proceeded to sing a hilarious paradoy of the figment theme song (journey into imagination), where they bashed all the managers in the area. I never wanted to own a video camera more than that night! It was a riot. Jrob, tell me u got to witness this first hand!

Phaizer: My old roomate worked Coaster. His name was Josh and he was from Louisianna. He was on the program a year before you, but he came back to work Coaster around October of 2002. Perhaps you know him?
There was a Josh that worked there, but I dont think he was a CP. It is quite possible that I met your old roomate when he came back in October, do u know how long he worked there for?

Sadly I had to work that night.

I heard some great stories though. Overall, the GMR Oscars are supposed to be way more fun though. But hey, it was Area 3's first time at this and I'm glad they made the effort.

Please tell me you know Joe Connelly.
