Talking Go Chargers!!!!! Raiders Suck!!!! Angels Rock!!!

What a GREAT afternoon in sports..

MY San Diego Chargers come from behind to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 35-34, to end up with the BEST record in the NFL (5-1). There are 3 NFC teams that are also 5-1, but currently only the Chargers are 5-1 in the AFC!

And at the same time, the previously WINLESS St. Louis Rams go out and kick Oakland's butt 28-13 How about the SDSU grad, Marshall Faulk..... plus St. Louis using a THIRD string QB......

Next week, The Chargers head up to Oakland, this should be a GREAT game!!!!!

And how about those Angels!!! The Rally Monkey REALLY turned it on in the 7th!!! 10 runs, WOW!!!!

And next week, it gets even better!!!!

We start at 10:30 AM, as the Los Angeles Galaxy attempts to win two different championships in a week, as they take on the New England Revolution for the MLS Cup on ABC.

Then at 1 PM, it is the Chargers-Raiders game....

And then it will be game 2 of the World Series from the Big ED, as the Angels take on the NL Champions at 4:30 PM......

CONGRATS ANGELS on the American League Championship!!!!

    P.S. RAIDERS SUCK!!!!!!!!

    One Day At Raiders Practice

The Oakland Raiders football team practice at the Oakland Coliesium was delayed on Tuesday for nearly two hours. One of the players, while on his way to the locker room, happened to glance down and noticed a suspicious looking, powdery white substance on the practice field.

Coach Gruden immediately suspended practice while the FBI was called in to investigate.

After a complete field analysis, the FBI determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the goal line.

Practice was resumed when the FBI decided that the team would not be likely to encounter the substance again.

    The Priest

A Chargers fan used to amuse herself by scaring every Oakland Raider fan he would see strutting down the side of the road in their obnoxious silver and black colors.

She would swerve his van as if to hit them and then she would swerve back on the road.

One day, as the van driver was driving along she saw a priest hitchhiking. She thought she would do a good deed so she turned around and pulled over. She asked the priest, "Where are you going, Father?"

"I'm going to say Mass at St. Joseph's Church, about five miles down the road!", replied the priest.

"No problem, Father! I'll give you a lift. Climb in!"

The happy priest climbed into the passenger seat and the van continued down the road. Suddenly the driver saw a Raider fan walking down the road and instinctively she swerved as if to hit him, but just in time she swerved back to the road, narrowly missing the idiot.

Even though he was certain she missed the guy, she still heard a loud "THUD."

Not understanding where the noise came from she glanced in her mirrors and she didn't see anything.

Then she remembered the priest and she turned to the priest and said, "I'm sorry, Father. I almost hit that Oakland Raider fan."

"That's okay," replied the priest. "I got the ******* with the door!"

    Firing Squad

Three NFL fans were set to face a firing squad in a small central american country.

The first one, a Chargers fan was placed against the wall and just before the order was given he yelled out "Earthquake."

The firing squad fell into a panic and the Chargers fan jumped over the wall and escaped in the confusion.

The second person, a Chiefs fan was placed against the wall. The squad was re-assembled and the Chiefs fan pondered what he had just witnessed. Again before the order was given the Chiefs fan yelled out "Flood!" Again the squad fell apart and the Chiefs fan slipped over the wall.

The last person, a Raiders fan was placed against the wall. He was thinking "I see the pattern here, just scream out something about a disaster and hop over the wall." He confidently refused the blindfold as the firing squad was reassembled. As the rifles were raised in his direction he grinned from ear to ear and yelled "Fire!"

    The Smart Student

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is an Oakland Raiders fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they are Raiders fans too. Not really knowing what a Raiders fan is, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, their hands fly into the air. There is, however, one exception.

A little girl has not gone along with the crowd.

The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not a Raiders fan," she retorts. "Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?" "I'm a proud San Diego Charger fan," boasts the little girl. The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks the little girl why she is a Charger fan. "Well, My Dad and Mom are Charger fans, so I'm a Charger fan too, " she responds.

The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was an idiot. What would you be then?"

"Oh," says the little girl. "Well, then I'd be a Raiders fan."

I just realized something.. World Series game days might be great days to visit Disneyland Resort!

And you're right, the Raiders don't suck. A lot of their fans do, though. I still don't understand why L.A. people would come down to San Diego to root for the OAKLAND Raiders. I guess they don't understand that the Raiders screwed L.A., or maybe they're just punks that want to come down and get in fights and don't really care about the game.. Oh well.

so becasue I like the Raiders and they happen to be playing the Chargers I am hard to understand what its a team I happen to like and I really cannot get to Oakland Easy but San Diego is only an hour and ahalf away... I personally dont blame the raiders for leaving LA they wanted a better stadium in a better area and LA said no Oakland had a better offer for them so the Raiders Reuturned back to where the Team started in Oakland... so youre saing if the world series was the Angels VS the Padres it would be not right for Angels Fans to come down and see them play.... Fans are not always from where the Team is....

See, I don't understand that line of thinking. If the Chargers left San Diego I wouldn't be a Charger fan any more even though I'm a die hard, season-ticket holding, all-my-life fan. Because they wouldn't be the San Diego Chargers anymore.

I also believe there's a lot more to the story than LA wouldn't build a new stadium. Here's just a little blurb, but basically the Raiders didn't want a new stadium built because it gave them an excuse, a scapegoat, for their move.. It doesn't take much reading between the lines to figure that out.

Allow me to also amend my statement a little bit - I've met some very nice Raiders fans, family men who are actually football fans and there for the game. There is just a disproportionate amount of "fans" at the San Diego game that really don't know jack about Oakland Raiders and come to merely start trouble or walk around acting tough. Last year it was pretty easy to pick them out because they all had shirts on that had the word "f**k" as part of the verbage of "support for their team".

^ I am in complete agreement with you. It seems as if there are an awful lot of "fans" around San Diego that don't know a thing about the Raiders, past or present, they just know that there is this "tough guy" stigma that surrounds the team, and by being a fan, then they must, of course, be a tough guy.

There were a few guys I worked with two years ago, who went to the Chargers/Raiders game with the sole purpose of fighting! How incredibly immature is that? I think it's horrible that the Raiders organization gets a bad rap simply because of their "fans". Real fans are afraid to attend these games, simply because there will be more action in the stands than on the playing field. It's disgusting to think that in order to purchase tickets for the Chargers/Raider game that is here, you had to buy a block of three games! We are going to punish the real fan in order to deter the unruly ones.

Ooops, back on topic. Go Chargers!

Karnever-After re-reading this....I'm in no way alluding to you as being one of these "fans".....just the whole Raider thing always gets my blood boiling. Think I better eat something......get this caffeine out of my system.

    cinder,

Security has been so much tighter at Charger-Raiders games the past couple years (since the knifing incident), I wouldn't worry about being afraid to attend. Unfortunately the word is hard to get out because of past events and expectations of future trouble.

I've noticed Supercross has gone the same route (towards lawlessness). I used to go every year and then somewhere around about 4 or 5 years ago I realized that a large number of the people showing up didn't know anything about riding motorcycles or the racers, they just thought it was cool and loved all the fights that broke out in the stands. I mean, just WHAT do you fight about there? It's not like you're going to fight about Carmichel vs. McGrath or something, it's ridiculous. The guy in front of me was so stone drunk that he stood there for about a minute trying to see his ticket and focus on his seat and determine if that was where he was supposed to sit. I finally asked him if he could ponder it while sitting down so that I could watch the race (since that's what I came for) and he took at as "This dude wants to fight!" The rest of the night was basically spent with me telling him to calm down and watch the races as he continually tried to pick something with me. And of course, everyone else in his group kept planting stuff in his head to make him think he needed to "kick my ass" or something. Idiots. No, worse - drunk idiots.

I haven't been to a Supercross since, it stopped being worth it. I think that year they had twice as many fights in the stands as there are at a Raiders Chargers game. Once again, the only explanation is people who show up looking for a fight.

na I dont mind I was only messing with ya I know you didnt mean all Raiders Fans are like that.... I still have nothing against the Raiders moving I always felt they should be in Oakland as most sports Teams should be where there Franchise started... Like the Rams in St Louis where they started.... Id Rather go See a Raider Game in Oakland then go to LA and get Shot before I see the game but then again Id Rather Just watch Football on TV anyhoo... the footbal games I have been to mainly have been Chargers Games mainly Facing Denver...I really Dislike The Broncos....with a Passion........
