Well, I couldn't get the day off from work but as the day went on I started to feel pregnant. My neck and back are starting to stiffen up too. I'm going to go to the doctor tomorrow to check things out. I just didn't have time for it today.

    Thanks for the tips everyone.

By CA law, insurance companies have to get the actual cash value by seeing what vehicles are selling for in the area you want to replace your truck and account for condition, mileage and options. Some companies insurance will outsource to are Audatex or CCC. It just depends on the company. Using KBB, which people think should be used and like Bob said, is not accurate as it doesn't consider the specifics.

OC is correct in that airbags do not total a vehicle, but they are very expensive to replace and usual contribute to a total.

Also, in CA, the other insurance company is not required to make up for the diminished value. By law, they have to pay you for a comparable vehicle, not something brand new. Insurance companies are there to get you back to where you were, not be Santa Claus. It may be different in AZ.

And from my personal experience, your truck looks like a total.

Now, someone guess what my other job is.
Wow. You're even hotter than I previously thought.

That's good to hear. I should have realized that with that amount of damage, the cops would have been called. Just some of the other stuff you mentioned reminded me of my own situation. Good to hear your bases covered. And good to hear you're alright!

It's totaled. Don't buy a truck again. They are not as safe as regular cars.

Went to the Doctor, he just told me that I'm sore so he gave me some muscle relaxants and God knows what else. Her insurance company's agent called me and told me that he'll have to come and see if it's "repairable" before he tells me what they're going to do about it. He also told me I'm too young to get a rental, but my parents could get a rental and I can take one of theirs. We'll see.

You refer his message to your insurance company. You shouldn't even be talking to him, and do not authorize him to come look at your car. Period.
