I have never sent back food, nor been rude to restaurant people -- but after that movie, you can guarantee I'll NEVER complain, no matter what they give me, I will NOT complain!!

Ooh - one time at Pecos Bill Cafe (MK) someone returned a BBQ chicken sandwich to us because the tip of a glove was in it.

So we looked at my friend's hand, and sure enough, the thumb of her top glove was missing.

well I worked in food service for years and years..... managed/owned a fine dining restaurant...and let me tell you something. It is DISGUSTING out there in the food service industry. Ever heard of the 2 second rule? Well its more like 5 minutes but..... basically if its salvageable they will rinse it off and serve it. Chefs are/can be disgusting creatures ( I was married to one) Note WAS. I saw far more in a "fine dining" restaurant where we had only the creme de creme working for us and it was B_A_D. I am talking not only going "potty" without washing hands but I once caught a cook pissing in the sink in the back. YIKES, he was fired. But still.... unless you buy it, clean it, and cook it yourself... you are risking all sorts of bugs, germs, (pubes)..... all going into your mouth. mmmm tasty. seriously. mmmm. tasty.

I got RUINED at Seau's here in San Diego. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which comes with green chilis on it.

It showed up, sans chilis.


So I told the waitress, who marches out a dish of chilis. I said, no, they go ON the sandwich (like they're melted on with cheese). So she takes it back again, and this time it comes out with, I kid you not, an ENTIRE can of chilis dumped on it.


Yes, this is where we had words and stormed out, first she followed us screaming that we ate a meal we hadn't paid for. I haven't been back since (2+ years).

ohhhh and one time, I was working at a taqueria where we had a huge parade coming through town that day so it was super busy.... making salsa.... cook lost a band-aid in the salsa......the owner had me strain the salsa for the band-aid and then served it. I was out of there after my shift. waaayyy to gross for me.

oh and is it lemonade or lemonaide? hmmm

When I was around 18 or so, I went to Hard Rock Cafe in LA with some friends. I had always wanted to go there and was so excited to be celebrating my birthday there. Well, my birthday burger comes and I'm eating away....... after about 1/2 the burger, I look down and see a spider sitting on the lettuce leaf on my plate. It was dead but it still made me totally lose my appetite! The funniest part was that we told the waitress about it, she doesn't take the plate and just goes and gets the manager and brings him and another waitress over to stare at my plate. We were wondering if they were waiting for it to start moving again or something. They were great making it up to me tho - didn't charge for my dish, gave us all dessert for free. Have never been back tho.....

I have to be careful at which Wendy's and KFC I eat at due to the fact that I love chicken but sometimes the chicken doesn't love me.

For the first few years I was there we did that if we had enough left, then they kind of decided that was gross, too. So, they let me take it home (my dad LOVED popcorn).


Yes, I tried it, and yes, it sucked.

Ah you two are giving me ideas for work!

We have our popper out the back a big double one, so we pop twice a week bag a heap and store it and use it over 4 days!!

And now all i want to do is try different things in the popper thanks Cinder!
