What are some of the new features?
I'd use Netscape, but it loads so slow on my computer. IE just POPS right up.Just here. Nowhere.

From their website:
They also have a new feature called "Radio@Netscape" that has many radio stations -- it's much better than the ones that Windows Media Player has.Popup Controls help you stop popups from taking over your browsing experience. (Popups are small windows that are served by various web sites and are often unsolicited.) The feature can be turned on from the tools menu. Additional settings in Preferences give you personalized control so you can "allow" popups that may be needed by an individual web site.
Tabbed Browsing in Netscape 7.1 lets you browse faster by allowing you to open up more pages at once, and switch back and forth between those pages. To use Tabbed Browsing, click on the Tab icon in the left hand corner next to the first Tab or right mouse click on a tab or go to the File menu and choose New Navigator Tab. You can also open hypertext links within a new tab by right clicking on the link.
Images Fit to Screen to view large images in its entirety. You can also zoom out and view the image in its original size.
Find as you type lets you find links and words on a page much faster. If you're looking for something specific on a web page, just start typing and see your selection.
Web Site Icons let you easily keep track of where you are on the web. These icons are shown in the URL field and are also handy within Tabbed Browsing.

Full Screen Mode lets you see more of a web page when you need to and maximize screen space. This is great for viewing web content on laptops or smaller desktop screens.

DOWNLOADING AND SAVING FILES
Download multiple files at once and reliably pause and resume a download if your Internet connection is interrupted or you need to use your connection to make a phone call.
Download Manager keeps track of all your downloads from one place. View information on the status of your download, percentage complete, download location, source, time remaining and more.
Save a complete web page --what used to take several steps to download and save a complete web page, now takes only one. In a single action, save a page with all of its graphics files (GIFs and JPEGs). No need to individually download each file to capture all the content on the page.
SEARCH
Search from URL field lets you easily start a web search on any word in a web page without having to leave the page. Simply select the word with your mouse, right-click and choose Web Search for that word. The results appear in a separate browser window and also in My Sidebar.
PRINTING
Print Preview and Page Set-up tools give you greater control over the output, sizing, margins, scale, and even headers and footers of a printed document.
Also, they've added a Quick Start feature so that Netscape will start up as quickly as Internet Explorer does.
My favorite thing about Netscape/Mozilla is that it renders pages MUCH faster and more correctly than Internet Explorer does.
Go download it and test it out. Trust me on this one, it is MUCH better than IE.

Hmm...that Quick Launch feature sounds good in theory, but it does it by keeping some of the program open at all times so it has less to load. Nice idea and all, but it wastes more RAM than I'd like to, so it looks like I'm staying with Internet Explorer.

NOTE TO READERS: YellowMan has been known to joke around from time to time. Please don't take some posts by him to their full, literal meaning. Doing so will most likely end in one of the following: making a fool of YellowMan, making a fool of yourself, making a fool of Ronald Reagan, drymouth, or in rare cases, death. Thank you and enjoy your stay.

I've never had it take up very much of the RAM at all. At any rate, even on a slow machine that one of my friends has, it doesn't take very long without Quick Launch.

In other words I'm straying from the topic a bit but come on you techies give me a clue here cuz I really want a tablet PC for the ability to take notes when working with clients but I hate slow load times, help help help!

You don't have to worry about NEtscape being slow in loading. It usually takes only a couple of seconds longer than IE to load, and once Netscape is loaded, it loads pages much faster than IE. If you want zippier page loading, go with Netscape. It saves more time in the long run.
