I enjoy going to the dentist. There certainly isn't any aspect of it I find displeasing. Except the fact that he finds it funny to fart in my face. Note to others, don't go to your brother in law for your dental work.

So I'm back! And it was no big deal. I will have to return for the crown and post business, but the whole drilling thing took only 12 minutes. I didn't even get through the "Remember, Dreams Come True" fireworks segment on my ipod. But, I have another tooth that needs a root canal too. At least I won't be so freaked out next time.

Thanks for all your encouragement and honesty. It really helped!

Glad that things went well! Unless you have SERIOUS complications, you'll find these things are quick and painless.

When he pulled my tooth, it took LITERALLY two minutes, and the grossest/worst thing about it was listening to the roots break off and pull from my head.

i read the posts glad you made it alive haha, what's the point of a rot canal though, is it anything like when they pull your molars or something?

Root canal is when your tooth has tied, and they have to pull the dead root and clean the rot from your teeth. I'm sure there are many ways for this to occur, mine happened in college when I got elbowed in the mouth during soccer practice. She knocked out/exposed a tooth, and it died.

thnx that sounds painful I hated just getting teeth pulled out, but to have it pulled and then just pick at it...i will now go brush my teeth and floss and anything else i can do to prevent that...haha

Yikes glad to hear it only took 12 minutes I have a appointment tomorrow with the dentist for a root canal. I've been postponing it as long as i could hoping a temp filling would protect the exposed nerve but after two temp fillings and still being in pain (especially when i chew) last night i decided to hell with it lets get it over with

Plus my stingy dentist wouldnt refill my vicodin prescription any longer so I've been reduced to taking like 6 Advils.

Yikes!
