That's right, there's yet another recreation of a Disneyland Resort theme park being made in RCT2. I've decided to post some screenshots of my recreation of DCA.

Here is what I have overall so far. This is about 5 hours of work total.
http://www.themeparksource.com/junk/rct2_dca/SCR8.jpg
This is the Sunshine Plaza and entry area as it stands right now. I still have to adjust the size of the Esplanade area, as I made it a little too large.

This is what I have of the Sunshine Plaza. I'm at a loss as to how to make the Sun Icon, so for now it's just a large square with some prongs sticking off it. If anybody has any ideas, please post them.

The North Side of the Hollywood Pictures Backlot is pretty much complete (I still have to build the Superstar Limo ride and building).

And finally, this is what I have done so far of Condor Flats.
So that's what I have so far. Please post your comments and let me know what you think of it so far.

Looks good! Granted, I'm no real RCT expert, but I sure can make a hell of a park. Anyways, I'm really liking it, but, I think you should try some custom scenery to put in the little details. What's inside the Hyperion? A movie? Just curious! Looks good! - The WeirdOne

Re: YellowMan's RCT2 DCA Recreation
Wow I didnt really think that DCA could properly be made into a recreation on RCT2, mainly becuase there are a lot of shows than rides, which is pretty much all RCT2 is. But you have done a very god job. I could never have that much patience!

Wow, that looks awesome! Can't wait to see when you finish the whole park.

Re: YellowMan's RCT2 DCA Recreation
Thanks for the kind words. About the custom scenery, I'm trying to keep it to as little as possible, because I know plenty of folks that don't want their copy of RCT2 bogged down with custom scenery. I think the only custom stuff I'm using are some roofing tiles with the ability to have their color changed.

The same goes for Muppet Vision 3D, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and Soarin' (although I placed two 3D theaters here, like in the real one). So essentially, I've tried to recreate the queues and preshow areas (if the rides have them) within the buildings, but then where the queue actually enters the theater it enters a 3D show attraction.
I'm kind of disappointed because I haven't been able to work on any real rides yet because DCA is mainly show-based, but I'm looking forward to creating the Disney Animation building and working my way back to Paradise Pier (the last thing I'll work on since I'm working my way back in the park so I can try to keep the distances somewhat to scale).-YellowMan: The Fresh Maker!

Cool stuff.
I think you captured the sun icon perfectly, maybe even executed better than the real thing!
And your Soarin' building looks great.
Now, find the crankiest guest, name him Jeremy and then drown him.Just here. Nowhere.

/\ Thats the greatest American pastime....
Also, I cant wait to see how you'll do Grizzly Peak. And for animation, will you just make it another 3D show?...."I have a feeling that obtaining my potential would really cut into my sittin' around time." ~ Maria Bamford

Wow!! very nice YellowMan, as for the sun icon I think maybe a ferris wheel that remains closed would look good.

Re: YellowMan's RCT2 DCA Recreation
I'm going to design the look of the building (the main room, with the different areas off to the sides) but I will be using a lot of 3D shows for this part (The Animation Screening Room, Drawn To Animation).
