I find it interesting how everyone was baggin on Cynthia Harrisa for opening Pooh (supposedly a crappy ride) and yet praising Matt Ouimet for Buzz, and now to find out she approved it.....IRONIC!

Just to be fair - either one of them had the oppertunity to say NO when they came on board. Cynthia should have, Matt didn't need to. In my personal oppinion, the attitude towards Cynthia Harris has a lot more to do with the over-all management and not just the pooh ride. Like I said previously, I'm taking a "wait and see" position on Matt. I like what he is doing at the moment, but we all loved Eisner for the first 10 years also.

I've been consistent. I've called Pooh and Buzz crap!!!

Despite the disappointments, I give credit to Matt for trying to fix the mess originally known as Tomorrowland '98.

Here's some more negative comments.

I went on the new Buzz Lightyear Ride yesterday, and I have to say I don't see what all the hype was about. It's cool I guess but its not the coolest thing in the whole entire world. The ride was short, slow, weird and rather disappointing. I don't know about you but shooting pretty little lazers at glow in the dark plywood isn't may idea of fun. Space Mountain is the ride I'm waiting for!

I had to answer...

I went a few years ago in WDW's Buzz. Based on the excellent videos in MouseInfo, the ride doesn't appear much different than WDW's version. They are essentially the same ride.

So far, most people describe Buzz as being no better than Pooh. If I go by my memory of my trip to WDW's Buzz and Pooh, I can confirm they are right. Both rides are similarly modest.
