Here's a new question: When will the permanent security checkpoints at the entrance plaza be built?

Re: Answers to your questions from the "Ask Marcie" Q & A
I have been wondering that too. I asked Marcie about it a couple months ago and she said they should begin to be constructed within a few weeks. This was I think back in January or so.. Wonder what happend? It's getting to a point where it does not seem like if they started now they would be finished by May 5.. But being Disney, they can get stuff done super-fast when they want to.

Re: Answers to your questions from the "Ask Marcie" Q & A
Marcie.....In terms of the DCA beautification project that is currently in DL and is supposed to come to DCA soon,it appears (from the looks of things) that TL is running behind,I wuold imagine Innoventions wont be done until mid April or so,when do they plan on starting this paint project at DCA? it just seems by the time they finish at DL the 50th festivites will be beginning, there will be people from all over the world coming to Anahiem for this milestone,it would be ashame to have so many peoples first impressions of DCA covered in tarps.......anyhow,in short, what are they planning to do in this situation? will the project be put off until fall? will they continue on with tarps covering DCA most of the summer? clue us in! thanks Marcie

Re: Answers to your questions from the "Ask Marcie" Q & A
I am pretty sure the painting was never planned to be finished in DCA in time for the 50th. They were only worried about Disneyland. And isn't it called project sparkle? I believe the whole thing is suppose to continue on for a while so they can fix up the whole resort.

yes I was aware that they wouldnt finish in time for the 50th,however at this rate they wont even get started until the 50th starts...thats why I was wondering if they will just put it off until fall or if they will continue to paint throughout the summer at DCA.

New Question for Marcie: When will they have an official announcement for new Monsters ride?
Can you hint at the new tenants for Downtown Disney expansion? How will Downtown Disney compete with the new mall project across the street?

Re: Answers to your questions from the "Ask Marcie" Q & A
Marcie,
Back in the early 90's there was concept art for the old Westcot plans. In that concept art, there were plans to demolish the Disneyland Hotel and then rebuild it in it's current location. My question is, are there any plans to rebuild the DLH in the near future?

Re: Answers to your questions from the "Ask Marcie" Q & A
Hi Marcie,
In today's MousePlanet.com WDW Park Update, they mention that "The former 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea lagoon area across from The Many Adventures of Winnie–the–Pooh attraction...will be a children's play area featuring slides, climbing structures and interactive pop-jet fountains. The area will be called 'Pooh's Playful Spot,' and will open around September." Another site some months back posted the possibility of something like this opening at Disneyland—I believe in the former Motor Boats area. I know one of the MI posters asked you about this in (I think) the first "Ask Marcie" thread, but you weren't too familiar with the idea.
My question is this: now that this seems to be a reality at WDW, are there plans to bring a similar play area to Disneyland? And if so, what's the rationale behind it? I'll hang up and take your response off the air.

Re: Answers to your questions from the "Ask Marcie" Q & A
Hi Marcie,
I was wondering if the Disney Movie Club is going to evolve into the only place to purchase Disney DVD's etc? I would hate to think that it is, or would be a Time/Life type of club.
Thanks ahead of time for your thoughts, and answers.
