Its a pun. DCA has numerous puns, i.e California Screamin' = "California Dreamin'", MaliBOOMer, etc...

It's just another Disney pun.... Rock It... Rocket.. Noting the "rock" music/whatever part, while maintaining the space theme.

I don't find anything wrong with the name... It doesn't promote "bad spelling" at all, IMHO.

I really hope it opens along side space mountain, it would be very sad to have rock it mountain open afterwords just to make some extra dough!

Nothing wrong with a little extra money. It is a business, after all. Besides, that's where new rides come from...and paint.

It's better than raising ticket prices...again.

if the style of the sign is any indication, the "rock music" might be some kind of retro early 80's techno geek rock.

Also, because of cloudy or darker days, it would be nice to have an illuminated sign.

Not to mention the sign is lit all the time. If it was out you wouldn't be able to see the letters, just how you can't see Rock It when not lit.

"Rockit" reminds me of an old Herbie Hancock dance-synth song from the 80's.

I think the sign looks great! A good omen for the future?
