Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

The "Space Mountain" words on the sign are static, but the letters appear to be "filled in" with fiber optics, as there was twinkling in them. Also, the background has stars which look like fiber optic lighting as well. It should look really cool at night.

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

Wow, that is retro. I wonder if this is indicative of a "Jetsons" (TL in HKDL) re-theming in progress. The new paint is one thing, but that sign is unbelievably retro.

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

Only true Disneyland fans are critical of Disneyland signs. LOL. Looks good, actually reminds me of the seventies, but that's good.

Lite Brite.. LMAO

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

That sign is the best news I have seen coming out of Space Mountain so far. I was very worried that the inside was going to look like they made the exit and entrance look like in the late nineties. Thank god that the Space Mountain sign once again looks like it would give you a paper cut if you touched it. I hope that the inside has a similar style to the old Space Mountain, the Space Mountain that millions of Disneyland guests are familiar with, loved, and have always been willing to wait 2 hours in line to see.

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

Why couldn't the sign have bigger letters? They look very small on the sign!!!

They are not particularly bright or noticeable. I prefer a bright orange or hot pink lettering.

I wonder if this means "keep low expectations?" I guess I have to because I'm already disappointed.

YUK!!!

I wouldn't expect any different reaction from you. Is there anything new at Disneyland you are happy about?

Well, that is not the topic of this thread. Giving these types of responses only encourages people to continue to try to turn every thread into a bashfest.
