Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

In the 80's this would be the perfect time to start a food fight.

I like the look. Making retro look new again. Thanks for getting the photo up so soon!

I agree.

That Space Mountain sign is okay, but I'm not sure why they picked such and unimaginative design.

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me. There isn't any new Space Mountain layout to get me excited. It is more of the same old same old.

Old is the correct word. Getting OLD.

Then they wouldn't bother updating it.

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

Hmm. I really don't know what to think of this sign. Maybe if I saw it in person, I would feel more enthusiastic about it. But I really don't know. I'm frustrated that I'm not all that thrilled like I would normally be! I just feel that it seems to be too realistically "retro" to be "cool". They should have implemented some sort of newness to it. Retro shouldn't be made to feel like it's just "old".

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

I think it will look better without brown buildings behind it.

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

Space Mountain was awesome as it was, it was in desperate need of repair, but it was and is still one of my favorite attractions. I can't wait until it re-opens and some new effects will be cool but really I just want the experience of riding it again. New or not, it's a classic, a great ride, and the sign being put back up is just verification of the progression towards it's new re-launch date ...

It does match the architecture of most of the buildings around the land.

Re: Space Mountain Sign Installed

Looks good IMO. Now if only the entire section was retro themed to the 1980's when TL never looked better and was a lot more fun.

And the people mover was running, the subs too. Not to mention Carousel of Progress. All gleaming white with color accents here and there.

I find the sign to be most definitely impressive.
