Actually, its eight floats- the Little Mermaid one was split into two. Also, the floats are quite long, and there are lots of dancers and performers between them.
I haven't seen it yet, of course, but someone who did watch a full rehearsel said that it clocked in at around 40 minutes.

40 minutes doesn't seem too long to me. I'm glad that no matter where you sit you will see a show stop. I'm hoping to see all of the floats during the show stop during the course of the celebration. Hopefully, I can figure out what float stops where and plan accordingly. All the floats do something different during the show stop and I want to see them all.

Hey yall! I just posted about 20 more pics of the 4/22 commercial shoot. There are some more character pics and closeups of the awesome new costumes for the parade! Hope you enjoy them! http://www.mouseinfo.com/photo/showg...00&ppuser=5626

What kind of foolishness would you like to see?

Great shots! Are the flowers on the lead float real or fake?

Hmm.... was it clocked at 40 minutes from the moment it comes on stage to the moment it ends at the other gate? because that I would certainly believe. Many disneyland parades are about 20 minutes long (in otherwords sitting and watching it pass takes 20 minutes) and also it takes about 20 minutes for the first float to get from start to finish. so 20 minutes have passed already as the last float STARTS the parade, and it takes about 20 minutes for that last float to FINISH the parade. 20+20=40?
Is that what we're talking about?Sydney Head

I think he meant, how long is it when being viewed from one point.
You're right, most parades are about 20-25 minutes, but who knows, this could be the same or just a bit longer.

Nice to see the cards got a gold lining as well. But why do so many characters have conductor battons? Peter Pan and the Tweedles had one, and I can only suspect who else may have one in the parade.
Also, on the subject on parade time. If I did my math right, the 20-minute count is begining to end for most parade times. So that means once you see the first wave of parade CMs until you see the End Parade Banner, the time in between is 20 minutes.
However, with a Show Mode, this 20-minutes is "halved" depending on where you are in the route. For example, if you are a point where the parade stops and you can see the first float, your parade is like 1-minute set up, 5 minute Show Mode, 19-minute Parade. But if you are set up somewhere around the middle, you get 10 minutes of parade, then the show, then the last 10 minutes of parade.
With this in mind, I have no idea how PoD can last 40 minutes total at one veiwing spot.Avatars provided by Gaia
