I would never buy a 1 day, unless I had to, spur of the moment or something, instead I like the multi day hopper deals.
DCA 1/2 the park, Same low price....

I said no, you really have to look at other venues to compare the value. You can spend about the same just down the street for a meal and a show (2 hours) at Medieval Times, same for a concert, a hockey game (easily more than a day at the park), and so on.
Since I always get my AP I forget what a one day passport goes for now 56 (?), but for that you get on an 8am-12am day 16 hours of entertainment. You get rides, shows, and character interaction. It's easily worth the price of admission.- Taylor

$56 for a day at Disneyland
I voted no and agree with atriv 21 that you get value paying $56 for a day at DL when everything is running and the Park is open from 8AM to midnight. However, if you're going during winter weekday hours with the possibility of attractions being shut down for maintenance and short operating hours, then it's not worth the price.

Weekly Poll Response: Ticket Price too high
I don't think the ticket price for a One-Day is too much. There is plenty to do at Disneyland that the price is worth it. I also agree with something I had read on Miceage.com. Al Lutz had mentioned that the ticket prices went up so the riff raff could stay out. This was an idea from Matt Ouimet. I have seen a difference in the "type" of people who used to be at the park and who are not there now. It just seems like a nicer crowd. I enjoy the park more.
Now if you were to do a poll on if I think the food prices are too high I would give you a definite YES! They charge way too much for food. I wish they would lower it and not be like Universal or Sea World. Make a statement by saying we will serve you Great Disney Food at Great Prices. Enough said. Have A Merry Christmas Everyone. Or, if you celebrate something different, Have a Happy Holiday!!!

There are plenty of poor people who aren't riff raff, like myself. Prices are too high, but if you are trying to get rid of "a certain crowd" I guess it is the only way to go.
You and me, well, we could change the world.

I like the condiment bar (you could make a pretty good salad with all the fixings available). Another option is to pack a lunch and put it in a locker. I did that a number of times during the summer.
Happy Holidays to you, too!
