Im not saying Iger wont mistakes, because he will, hes human.I just find it funny that people were so quick to lump him as a Eisner clone, and hes been exactly the opposite.
just for the record,I like Iger and I also like Eisner,I thought both guys did/doing a great job,I just think thier styles are different.

It's easy to do things differently than the predecessor. You see what you'd do different, and what you do the same, so you mark out your own territory. I think most people would do the exact same thing.
When Eisner came on board originally, everyone thought he was wonderful because he was doing things that the previously entrenched management did not or could not do. So, they thought he was a genius, when it was just him doing some obvious things that previous management couldn't see because of their positions.
Same thing now. We'll see how it goes, and how long Iger lasts. Maybe five years or so? Don't know.
It's good though, that he's doing some things differently. You may contact me via jonvn@nadelberg.com.

I bet he lasts longer than 5 years,I would say 10- to 15ish.He seems to really enjoy this job, heck he fought for years to get where he is at now,I doubt he will leave it all behind just after 5 years.
plus (and most importantly),it pays well

The thing I like about Iger, he is placing an emphasis on restoring the core of the business, animation. For at least ten years, as the article stated, nothing new was spawned from the Disney animation team, at least nothing worthy of exploitation at it's theme parks.
He is very bright, full of energy and an extremely vibrant leader. Something Eisner used to obtain.

Yeah, everyone has fire in their belly to start, and then as time goes on, they get entrenched in their ideas and it's time for fresh blood.

sometimes it pays better to leave a CEO position than to stay in it. some of these golden parachutes are quite sizable.

I tried to watch it. I couldn't get through it. In the second episode he even said "I have no idea why I'm doing this, and maybe it's a mistake."
