    Bugs life E-ticket

I posted this on MousePlanet and thought I would start a thread here.

Well I just thought of a fun idea for a ride in DCA. It would go in flicks fun fair and be an E-ticket. It would be like journey to the center of the earth at Disney Sea but no housed in a volcano. You would be traveling in the ant tunnels and then have to rush out as Hopper appears with his fellow grasshoppers. It would use a lot of the same theming and ride system just with a different story and look to the ride vehicles. I have always thought they could add a wow ride to a Bugs Land.

Watch this video of Journey to the center of the earth to see what I am talking about. It looks like it could fit perfectly. Just watch the video from 2:08 to the end to see what I mean. Nothing before that would be relevant.

The link didn't work for me. Said the video is gone...

Um, from what I understand, Journey takes up ALOT of room. It would be interesting. But right now, I don't know. Flik's Fun Fair was built for the kiddies. Than again, there needs to be more FAMILY rides...

I know many suggested using similar technology of Hemlich's Chew Chew Train for a complete dark ride experience...

EDIT: Then again, would you rather have a CARS or BUGS LIFE E-ticket? Personally, I think I'd rather see a CARS E-ticket

Here is another video of the ride. I would actually rather have a bugs life ride using that technology than a cars ride. DCA needs more exotic rides instead of everyday things like speeding in a car imo.

I think Journey's volcano is the thing that takes up the room, not the actual ride system, not sure, but isn't that land ride next to the parking lot? If so, I think a new E ticket for bugs would be nice, but I also think they should at least use the majority of the land to make a "Radiator Springs" land

I always thought it would be cool to upgrade Heimlich into a full on Bug's Life dark ride. Next to the Heimlich track and into the Timon lot would be an ant hill. The new cars would travel through the existing Heimlich track through all the food, and then climb up the side of the ant hill and enter the top. At this part the cars would speed down deeper into the anthill in a small roller coaster portion. This would only be a few seconds and add some mild thrills. Once the coaster is done, the ride would continue in dark ride fashion, telling the story of the movie. First you would see Hopper threatening the colony and then Flik realizing he needs to find help. It would then change into the City where you meet the circus gang. The story continues and then the bird attacks. Its head comes down but the car dodges it with a small drop. Finally Atta and the Queen thank Flik for all his help and then you see Heimlich as a butterfly right before the riders disembark.

I also thought it would be fun if they could change Tuck and Roll into a tea cups style ride, only here they would use the trackless technology used in Tokyo's Pooh. The cars would move randomly throughout the tent as riders spin.

^Sounds good. That whole area is in need of something like that, I think. Last time I was there my nephew loved all the rides, he's four, but they all seemed pretty carny to me. Frankly, cheap and easy (but that's not meant to be a DCA bash, really). I need to have a talk with the nephew about how to be more discerning in his theme park experiences.

It seems like there is so much potential for that area. I hope they expand on the idea and I like the idea of improving the Heimlich ride.
