    Quitting at the DLR

I finally quit from Disneyland today!!!! As much as i love it, i couldn't stand working there. With the new contract, the unqualified/horrible new hires, the bad schedulers, pitiful wages, and lazy leads i am so glad to finally leave that horrible workplace. Hopefully no one here tries to get hired there. I have no idea whats going on with management at the park; its horrible. I even heard that they're trying to get rid of all seasonal workers and that they're not hiring any new ones. I wonder where they will get new workers to cover all those leaving?

Hayabusa, I am sorry to hear of your frustration and discontent. I am always disappointed when I hear of people leaving the jobs they love out of economic necessity or, in this case, frustration with management.

Many on this site have been critical of Disney for a perceived dispassion in choosing not to remedy employment issues at the park. Others on this site have stated that the only responsibility that Disney or any other corporation has is to its shareholders. I believe that there can be a place for positive employment in the recipe--not only because it is the right moral thing to do, but because it is right business thing to do.
