    Ideas to IMPROVE Mickey's Toontown

I made this thread to make it easier for me and readers. These are the ideas I have to IMPROVE DLR's Mickey's Toontown. This is in response to BigThunderBabe's Out with Toontown, in with something new and original! posted here http://www.mouseinfo.com/forums/show...0&postcount=88 .

Again with taking out Toontown thread again?? SIGH. Roger Rabbit is unique and designed so there is something to look EVERYWHERE, even behind you and has great repeatability. Coaster is really suited for youngsters on their first roller coaster- a great start. But perhaps extending it and making it adult-friendly would be wise. Toontown still has great potential if you have imagination to work what is there and what you have to use. Simply demo-ing it and Fantasyland Theater is the "easy-way out". People need theater-going exposure experience. Not everyone can do all the rides in one day as it is. I'll make this short. I'm tired of reposting this:

    1) Mickey's House transform to Mickey & Friends chasing Pete through Mickey short films because Pete is trying to change history by making himself the star. Interactive gags in queue. Same ride tech as DL's Pooh ride. DL's Critter Country Pooh ride changed to Tokyo version.

    2) Food Court/ business changed to indoors House of Mouse. Food & live entertainment ala Billy Hill style with character show and/or cartoon magic (Slyvester the Jester).

    3) The left & right side outside entry/exit to House of Mouse are still hot dog, pizza, & ice cream fast food.

    4) Chip n Dale tree house gone and make path to Frontierland. Acorn pit either for Mickey ride building or Mickey meet-n-greet.

    5) Gadget's Go-Coaster rethemed to "Goofy's Plane Crazy", play on words to disney short "Plane Crazy". Station themed as Goofy house. Perhaps extend track. Interactive gags in queue.

    6) Donald's Boat demoed and rebuilt with new Houseboat (designed like a house but floats on water. NOT a boat that is lived in as a house). Perhaps 2nd level for extended queue. Interactive gags in queue. Tokyo's Aquatopia placed in expanded Toon Lagoon that runs UNDER Goofy's coaster track. Interactive water elements with water blasters for guests people watching to use. Huey, Dewy, & Louie can join in the fun. Attraction named "Tugboat Donald" as in play on words with the disney short "Tugboat Mickey".

    7) Goofy's House demo and transformed to adult-friendly Chip n Dale treehouse. Treehouse is queue for attraction with interactive gags. Outside, 1 but probably 2 family-friendly drop towers (ala Jumpin Jellyfish and/or Legoland's drop power tower). Towers themed as trees. Provide nice view of Toontown from above ground. Acorn nuts themeing a must. Guests are seated in crates with a pulley system that goes up. Either guests pull themselves up and practice to climb trees to get acorns or the crate bounces up and down and spins around.

    8) Toon Park re-done for a better play area and perhaps use elements from Goofy's Play House. PLENTLY of shade.

    9) Jolly Trolley loads & unloads at its station in the center of Toontown. Provides non-stop round circle tour of Toontown. NO STOPS at original Downtown & resident ends of the land.

    10) Fantasyland Theater demo and reconstructed west. Mickey's Philharmagic built on Fantasyland's garden queue/waiting area and where some bleachers for the theater be. Gives continuous theme for Toontown Depot. And Philarmagic able to play during fireworks. Fantasyland theater may be able to be an outdoor stage because of its new location- the sounds of coaster screams & train may be gone. New waiting area/queue through backstage alley between current Fantasyland Theater & Storybookland. Themed as enchanted forest. Restrooms probably be relocated by in same general area to fit Philarmagic.

    11) I'd like for Toontown Car Wash to be relocated to foliage area between Jolly Trolley backstage & trains. In this way a new water-play area could be in use. Current Car Wash probably make room for House of Mouse.

see i like your ideas, disney just needs to follow through with stuff like that...
on my thread, someone posted another way cool idea. it's scrooge mcducks mansion and it's a dark ride and it ends with a drop into his money pit. how cool! see this is what toontown needs to make it worthwhile.
    Disneyland=FABULOUS!

I am going to Disneyworld next fall break!!!

I am for any change to the MUNDANE current Toontown. (sorry Cinder!)

One thought about the water play area: the reason they took it out of Tomorrowland is because kids would share their water with the water Disney provided. Molto Grosso. Just say no to Water play, except in the privacy of your own home.

    Ew.

I think they should add mounted water guns to donalds boat where kids could then shoot at interactive targets out in the pond.

    ^ Very nice add on/plussing

DCA's rustworthy, dot's pond, and Bountiful Valley farm don't seem to have a problem, do they?

HKDL just opened a new TL water play area. They also have a tiki AL water play area.

Universal Citywalk still has their fountain.

I think a CM supervision is just needed. Was there one for Cosmic Waves?
