Just figured i'd point out this snippet..
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061109/...u/earns_disneyAttendance at its domestic parks was essentially flat during the quarter, with a decline at Disneyland in California offset by gains at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Spending is up at both locations though. At WDW, AK is supposed to have seen the largest percentage of increase (not from this article, but heard from other insiders) followed by Epcot. Marcie?
With the 50th over it looks like this will be a trend for a while.

One would hope for a drop in attendance at Dland... been so many people there for so long it'll be nice to get back to normal smaller numbers.

well that does not surprise me or i am sure many other especially people within the company. The 50th celebration had huge attendance numbers and this year had to see a decline from those.
WDW's numbers supposedly did not grow much from the 50th but should have gone up after all they received two major attractions with Soarin and Mount everest as well as one high energy atraction with the stunt show

But per guest spending increased at both parks as did profit margins

A decline after a major celebration is expected. I doubt the decline was significant and I'm sure they will make up for the loss during Christmas.
