I didn't really like any of the cakes although I don't agree with First Place. I would have had it go to

    Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
    the Snow White cake

It was the lesser of four evils. Although, from a technical perspective I guess the one that won was superior.

I agree, the winner was well executed but
    Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

Snow White was more of an interesting concept. There's several princess ceramic pieces that show the princess large with film scenes depicted in the dress, and that was flipped for the cake and I think it works amazingly well.

I too was confused about the Sleeping Beauty cake. But why was Lori expecting exact replicas of scenes from the film? I kinda liked that it was an open interpretation.

^I agree about the Sleeping Beauty cake, don't understand why it had to look like a scene although I did see the judge's point in that the scene itself was pretty interchangable... They could have had Snow White there instead of Sleeping Beauty and (sans fairies) it would have worked. Belle there, it would have worked, etc. It didn't have much of an identity.

If the trees looked more like the Eyvind Earle paintings then it would have had more punch but the giant trees with little else is what made me agree with the judges on that call.

As for the Snow White, I agree very awesome concept, it was pretty much a cake version of this old movie poster...

    I found that
    Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Sleeping Beauty should've won. The Pinnochio was nice but I Sleeping Beauty better. Maybe Sleeping Beauty should've been a different scene.

I think the worst one was
    Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
    Mary Poppins
