Disneyana Fan Club Show and Sale

The annual Disneyana Fan Club (formerly NFFC) Show and Sale will be held Saturday 7/16 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Garden Grove. Public entry is at 11 am ($6) and usually Mickey's of Glendale is there with some cool Imagineering stuff. Gone a few times and there's lots to see and buy and this is the first year they've done it on Saturday I believe.

I got a lot of cool Haunted Mansion stuff from Imagineering. Actually, I have to wait until Christmas for most of it since my husband bought it for me. Got a ton of really neat mansion pins, antenna balls, and a mansion shirt. Now I'm excited for D23!

No pictures but kind of disappointed it was way smaller than it was last year just one hall and still the same price to get in. Did buy a few things from Imagineeirng and did win a door prize.

Picked up a WED Imagineering shirt and two of the Epcot Future World Pavillion shirts (see the thread about those), got a $5 Pirates of the Caribbean Movies shirt from the Disney Soda Fountain store and lastly, got a book I've been trying to buy at a reasonable price for years...Van Arsdale France's "Window on Main Street" about his years working at Disneyland. France developed the original training program for DL. Great read, fantastic insights into the making and early years of the park through 1991. Only paid $20 as well which is dirt cheap for that book.

Also disappointed that it was only 1 room though I was very happy with the way they called group numbers to shop in the imagineering store. Much better and shorter wait than previous years but not as much merchandise. I'm betting they'll have a ton of stuff at the D23 convention.

No kidding that is dirt cheap I was able to buy a soft bound and a signed hard cover of that book and both were over $60. So great buy!
