Hi again everyone! Just thought I'd write a little update to say I am auditioning in San Diego for Disney Cruise lines next week! I'm super excited and am hoping to at least be kept longer than last time though ultimately I'd like to get all the way through and be cast of course! I'll let you know how it goes!

Just a quick update for anyone interested.... I made it through the whole audition this time without being cut which was exciting! It was a lot shorter than I expected it to be but I was glad to make it through. I wasn't asked to stay to be video taped but I don't know if that's a bad sign or not. I'll let you know if I hear anything this time!

Great news! And remember keep a smile on your face at all times, especially when dancing! So do you have a call-back? You made it all the way through but then what?

Thanks guys! I made it through to the 2nd dance and then... that was kind of it! They video taped 2 people from my group doing the dance so I don't know if that means they were the ones she picked or if she needed to get further confirmation on them from other casting directors. I was expecting to have to do an acting/character exercise but there wasn't anything. I guess maybe for the cruise line if you can dance with personality in the audition they figure they can train you in character work during the 2 month training in Toronto... as of tomorrow it's been one week so hopefully I'll hear in the next couple of weeks!

Hi again everyone, I thought I'd post another update on my journey to be a Cast Member! I auditioned again this morning in Vancouver, Canada which is only about an hour from where I live so it was my cheapest audition yet! It was the same casting director as San Diego/La Mesa and she kind of seemed to recognize me which I thought if nothing else showed I have persistence! I also attached a short letter of interest to my resume/headshot this time explaining my love and devotion to Disney to let them know this wasn't just "any" audition for me.

So we learned quite a long dance routine that was in between the difficulty of the New York and La Mesa auditions. I quite liked it and it seemed the most like what I'd have to do on the ship. We also got to do an acting animation exercise but they asked us not to say much about it so I won't say much more than that.

I really felt like I nailed it this time! {As I said in my first audition report, I'm not trying to be cocky, I just feel like I did a good job- trust me that is not always the case! There have been times I have blown auditions!} My dancing was pretty good and people were laughing during my animation which I thought was a good sign... but...I got cut after that!! I was super disappointed as I thought maybe this would finally be my chance. They said {and I've heard from a friend who has done 2 contracts on the Magic} that the Character Performer roles are extremely specific and you have to be able to do several "tracks" {roles/shows} throughout the ship so I'm trying to not feel bad but it's just hard to believe you might not be right for something you want so bad!!

Anyway, I will probably try again if an audition comes up on the West Coast but I think I may shift my focus to auditioning for Disneyland Paris as it might not be as specific. Thanks for listening to my ramblings!! I will be sure to post another update if anything else comes up!

Thanks Cinder!! I don't want to give up yet, if I learned anything from all those Disney movies it's to not give up on your dreams!
