You've Just Been Jo-Bro'd!: A Review of "I Heart Jonas"

Just in the "Nick" of time for Valentines day, Walt Disney Home Entertainment has released a great Jonas Brothers DVD title starring the Jonas Brothers, Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas. I Heart Jonas is a collection of episodes handpicked for Valentines day from the popular Disney Channel show "Jonas".

With a familiar nod to older musical situation comedy television shows that aired in the 60's and 70's, (Partridge Family, Monkeys) Jonas hits a similar note of wacky comedy situations mixing music and drama as we follow them through their everyday routines.

I Heart Jonas revolves around the three Lucas brothers who are in a highly successful band all while trying to maintain normal lives attending High School. This is the second Jonas title released to DVD whereas the first series "Rockin' the House", followed each brother throughout their daily journeys. In I Heart Jonas, and with Valentines Day around the corner, all seven episodes focus on Joe Lucas and Stella's not so straight forward relationship.

Joe understands that he can't get involved in a relationship with Stella, the band's designer, and Stella also understands that they must keep their distance romantically for the sake of the band. It's a funny and quirky relationship and in the end you wish that the two would just become more than friends.

The characters are:

Joe Lucas (Joe Jonas): Joe is the cool one, this set revolves around Joe and Stella Malone and Joe always seems to lack a romantic interest in Stella even though he secretly is in love with her.
Nick Lucas (Nick Jonas): The smartest of the three brothers and is calm, cool and collected.
Kevin Lucas (Kevin Jonas): Wacky, oldest of the three who seems to not always be all there.
Tom Lucas (John Ducey):The father and the manager of the group
Stella Malone (Chelsea Staub): A good friend to all three brothers. Also their wardrobe stylist. She also is romantically attached to Joe, but doesn't want him to know it to keep their relationship on an even keel.
Macy Misa (Nicole Anderson): Best friend of Stella and is known as the band's #1 fan.
Frankie Lucas (Frankie Jonas): The youngest brother, (actually played by their true younger brother).

I Heart Jonas Feature Episdoes:

Fashion Victim (Episode 7): The Lucas boys have a meeting with the Queen, but jealousy erupts when Joe catches Stella and Van Dyke on a date. A waredrobe malfunction ensues in this hilarious episode.
Love Sick (Episode 10): Joe invites Stella to a fashion show due to the other brothers suggestion that Stella might have more than friendship on the mind.
Three Musketeers (Episode 11): The Lucas brothers appear in The Three Musketeers play at school. Joe gets stage fright and is replaced by Van Dyke.. Joe hears Stella has a kissing scene and gets jealous.
Karaoke Surprise (Episode 14): The Lucas boys plan a 15th friendship celebration and they surprise Stella.
Chasing the Dream (Episode 6): Kevin let’s Macy become their backup singer. But when she turns out to be awful, Kevin knows he must do something about it.
Frantic Romantic (Episode 12): Movie star Fiona Skye uses Joe’s popularity by letting the tabloids know that she is dating Joe (when they actually are not). How can Joe stop Fiona from using him.
Forgetting Stella’s Birthday (Episode 16): It’s Stella’s birthday and usually the guys don’t forget but when they have an important interview, they all forget. Stella assumes they are planning a secret birthday party.
Double Date (Episode 18): When Stella goes on a date with Van Dyke, Joe gets even more jealous.

I Heart Jonas DVD Bonus Features:

You’ve Just Been Jo Bro’d: Surprising Jordin Sparks – Jordin thinks she is participating in a radio interview with the Jonas Brothers. But confusion and mayhem soon follow as the interview quickly takes on a life of its own with crazy questions and odd callouts. Then the Jo Bros get in on the action by pretending to be “callers!”

Exclusive Premium Magnets Featuring Each Of The Jonas Brothers on the package (while supplies last)
