There's been a lot of speculation about the new rides coming to this very different park. Here's something i stumbled upon yesterday.

What I read was that Tron was definitely planned for Shanghai, along with a Pirates ride utilizing an updated version of the Peter Pan's Flight ride system. I'm so glad Disney is branching out with this new park after they played it so safe with HKDL.

I made a deal with my best friend that we will be there on opening day

[ and yes, we flew from Europe to NY to see The Princess and the Frog on opening day, so we WILL go to Shanghai ]

Yea, Shanghai's definitely going to set some new standards, "change the scheme, alter the plan, and electrify the boys and girls..." with its addition. Apparently the TRON Attraction will feature a Vekoma bike rider system, allowing riders to experience the intensity of Lightcycles.

I also read that the Jungle Cruise will have a prehistoric twist to it... and feature a spinning raft system, similar to GRR.

I had not heard about the Pirates addition with Peter Pan's Flight gondolas... that's really awesome in itself!
