Re: Water Parks
Disney has 2, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Both are wonderfully themed. Blizzard Beach tends to have more "thrill" slides, and is themed to a ski resort melting in the sun. Typhoon Lagoon is tropical, has a wave pool that can make very large waves, and has a shark lagoon where you can snorkel with small nurse sharks. By all means, go if you have time.

Re: Water Parks
We've driven by a couple of them, but by the looks of them, Disney has two of the best water parks in Florida.

Re: Water Parks
Blizzard Beach is a wonderfully themed water park. The Travel Channel recently ranked it as the second best water park in the US. It's a lot of fun. The highlights: a chair lift (like a ski lift) to some of the slides, Teamboats Springs (a family raft slide), and Cross Country Creek (a lazy river that circles the park--so relaxing and fun). My only warning: don't go on Summit Plummet! It should be called the Disney Water Torture Ride. Other than that, Blizzard Beach is not to be missed.

Re: Water Parks
Blizzard Beach is by far my favorite for thrills, and Typhoon Lagoon is also nice, but is a much less thrill day, very tropical, and more family themed then Blizzard Beach. Aside from Disney's 2 parks, Wet N Wild is probably the biggest, I've still never been, so I can't speak for it, but it's right next to Universal. My impression, is unthemed, but very fun.
And still we have more, Watermania, is a small waterpark, next to Disney, located off of 192, I've been once, and liked the day, it's small and unthemed, but nice. I really enjoy Adventure Island, it's not in Orlando, but next door to Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, I've been to that one three times now, and it's probably my favorite, non Disney, water park, but as I said, I have not had the chance to compare it to Wet N Wild yet!Last edited by DLMAGICDARREN; 02-20-2004 at 05:43 PM.

Re: Water Parks
almost year round, but they each have a 6 week or so rehab, Blizzard Beach went first this off season and was closed most of December, then as soon as Blizzard Beach reopend, Typhoon Lagoon is currently down, but opens back up in March, so about another week or so.
They are never both down, at least one is open year round, and 9 1/2 months of the year, they are both open.Darren

Re: Water Parks
How cold would it be in November? I've heard the weather varies from 48 at night to 78 in the daytime. Is this even close to right?
