I just got back from a few days at WDW. We had a great time. Loved Expedition Everest.
However, I am sick to death of the Sorcerer Mickey wand and crap-ola on Spaceship Earth and the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat in front of the Great Movie Ride. IMHO, they've overstayed their welcome, they look terrible, and they mask what are already great looking structures. I wish I could rip them down myself!!
(OK, I feel better. Thanks...)

Agreed on both counts. I loved looking down "Hollywood Blvd." and seeing the Chinese Theater. The first time I saw it, I thought, "What a great new take on the Main Street/Castle combo. The wand, I liked for the Millenium, but enough, already. Last I heard, the wand will leave WAY before the hat. The Scorcerer's Hat has become the icon for the park, and looks like it's permanent. One of Disney's big Goofs.

I wonder if the 50th decorations will come down this fall, or if they will just stay up until WDW's actual 50th.

And the Epcot 'decorations(?)' -- it seems kind of redundant to have "Epcot" splashed over the top of Spaceship Earth. Obviously Epcot is recognizable just by seeing the big ball on it's own. We don't need a big label. If that's the case, I guess we could get a big "Magic Kingdom" blanaced on the top of the castle?!

I haven't seen them in person, but the hat looks really bad. It totally ruins the view down Hollywood Blvd. Guests should see the Chinese Theater at the end of the street. It needs to be moved immediately.
I don't mind the Epoct sign so much. I would have to see it in person to fully judge it.
