The new "Magic Music and Mayhem" show which will open for the Pirate and Princess party at the Magic Kingdom at WDW will feature some nifty new fireworkswork effects.
Amoung them, fireworks will now launch from structure in the castle hub itself and toward the castle. The launch sites are located on the popcorn wagon and beverage wagon gazebos which flank the end of the hub near Mainstreet USA on the left and right sides.
The effect is said to be akin to Illuminations lagoon perimeter fireworks and possibly used in a sort of pirate battle scene too.
Nifty! No i want to goto this event.

That sounds really cool!!
I'm a little confused, though. Is it going to be more like Remember's Pirate sequence where the Matterhorn battles with the Castle, or more like Remember's "in-the-round" effects in the hub?
That's the closest thing I could think to compare it to.

Dunno..
What did they do in Remember? Did anything actually launch from the Hubs buildings or structures? *tries to remember*
If it's like the Illuminations comets, they'll be big long plumes shooting right over people's heads.

During the Haunted Mansion sequence, they launched flares that were situated at launch points around the rim of the hub. I think most of those were off the top of whatever buildings were around the area.
Then, during the Pirates sequence, they launched flares from the top of the Matterhorn that flew the entire length of the park. In return fire, some rockets from somewhere in Fronteirland were being shot towards the Matterhorn. Those flares died out just as they arched over the castle.Avatars provided by Gaia

^ Thanks, beat me to it.

Basically, Remember had a mini "in-the-round" effect using the buildings around the hub. This new show in the MK, though, sounds more like they're just using 2 locations near the back of the hub to launch fireworks at the castle.LIKE us at Facebook.com/MouseInfo

That sounds very cool. Too bad you have to pay an extra $30 to see it.

Ditto.
Well, I wouldn't go so far as saying that, but I'd REALLY like if WDW let regular guests see at least some of the special shows they do at these events. I'd say perform HalloWishes and Holiday Wishes to regular paying guests, but keep "Magic, Music, and Mayhem" exclusive to the event. Then at least that'll balance it out a little bit better.LIKE us at Facebook.com/MouseInfo

Or they could do like Tokyo and just show it to everyone that visits the park that month with no extra cost.

^ Minus the 180-degree effect. They could save that specifically for party guests.
