Yeah I really love the facade on this attraction, its an exact replica of Pixar Studios,so cool! with that said,I still think the actual attraction has nothing to do with this park no matter how snazzy the exterior. So you go into Pixar Studios and the toys set up a midway game in the studios or what? lol seems too far fetched for me.

Oooohhhhhh! I LOVE the PIXAR studio look! Fabulous! As for the ride tying into the building? We'll just have to see what happens. Even at DCA, there's some business about the guests being "shrunk" and the whole thing plays out under Andy's bed. So, if that can happen at a seaside pier, why not a studio?

what i can't tell b the pictures is if the letter and arch are on both sides of the attraction building.

right now they look to be on the side that is closest to the back of the Graumann Chinese theater facade and animation courtyard side.

If that is the case and the letters are not int he other side then the rumors of a whole section turning into Pixar place makes it even more possible.
That side of mickey avaenue would basically become the entrance to Pixar studio and then another entrance would be over by the backstage tour archway that faces New York street.

They could easily turn the Honey i shrunk the kids play area into Bugs Life. The small special effect tanks and surrounding area turned into the rumored crush coaster and possible expand back into the wardrove buildings.

    Just a thought

the more i see of DHS from the sky, the more it seems like a mess of a layout. nothing like the layout that was easy to navigate when it opened

Actually, you have too much area mapped out for the PIXAR studios. Where you have your #3 is where the other arch actually is. The HISTK play area isn't contained within the area. Unless you were showing how they could possibly expand the PIXAR area...

I think it also helped that back then a good majority of the park was off-limits to guests and the only way you could access it was with the two hour backstage tour.
Yes, our world has indeed become a world of motion. We have engineered marvels that take us swiftly over land and sea, through the air, and into space itself. And still bolder and better ideas are yet to come. Ideas that will fulfill our age old dream to be free. Free in mind. Free in spirit. Free to follow the distant star of our ancestors to a brighter tomorrow. - World of Motion (1982-1996)

I'm not digging the theme of the building. It's too generic for what is inside. Sure, it's the Pixar Studio facade, but it's a Toy Story ride! Seems to me that this look would better fit if the inside was a homage to all the Pixar films somehow not just one.

But, maybe this theme will be easier for the insides to change out if TSM flops or ever needs to be revived with something newer.

I'm a bit on the fence about it to. I guess it will all depend on how they set-up the ride, which no-one seems to have any idea about yet.

Now I have the opposite reaction. I think this is a great facade, and goes great with the studio theme of the park. On the same note, I would have prefered a more sound stage look for Monsters Inc. at DCA, rather than the cartoony one that was built. I also think the PIXAR studio look is perfect for what is to become a mini PIXAR land within the park.

The arch apparently says Pixar "Studios" now.

And i've seen some shots of the actual entrance.. it's got tinkertoys, i know that much, but the rest is hard to make out. Permits refer to it as "popsicle" decor.
