Note:
The circular motif in the brickwork is actually a perforated canvas that is hiding speakers.

Note #2:

The tinker-toy connectors hanging down over the loading area, the ones without other rods attached, have ride-control lights embedded in them and signal to the CM's when it's okay to advance the vehicles.

Oh, i took a line out o my first post because the pics were taking a bit to upload. Hehe.
"Pleasantly surprised."
I don't think it's my favorite attraction, but it's not a bad attraction. It is better then Buzz, but at the same time anyone trying to say it is heavily story based and story moves it.. which some imagineers have.. is stretching the truth.
An experience in and of itself can be enjoyable, that's why people ride Dumbo. This is a snazzy high-tech Dumbo. Nothing of depth, but it's enjoyable for what it is. I wouldn't mind seeing attractions like this mixed with more in-depth attractions - though i fear we're not getting more of those or these.

Oh, and to anyone else who has ridden it:
Is there something about the egg toss i'm missing? Seemed like a lame game in comparison to all the others.

great report.
i wonder what happened to the egg toss. i remember hearing that at some point depending on how well or bad you did the characters would throw the eggs back at you. Giving the guests a fun 3d effect

The basic guideline for Fastpass attractions is that about 70% of a rides hourly capacity is distributed in Fastpass tickets.
So if the DHS version has Fastpass, which the DCA version does not, that means that 70% of the people riding Midway Mania at DHS will not be seeing Mr. Potato Head. Why on earth would they spend that much money on a queue feature like a big, fancy animatronic voiced by a celebrity and controlled by a CM to interact with guests, just to have it entertain only 30% of the riders? Why not move Mr. Potato Head to a location in the queue where both Fastpass and Standby and Single Riders get to see him? Everyone going on Midway Mania at DCA gets to pass right in front of Mr. Potato Head.
Seems like a big waste of money if only a minority of the people going on the ride get to see one of the most entertaining AA's to come along in years.

If the ride is truly as repeatable as they say it's going to be (and a few Cast Members that I know who've ridden here in CA emphatically attest to that) then they will likely not be riding again with a Fastpass. Still, just how many people will re-ride is definitely not a satisfying answer to what does seem like a problem.
Still, I've always thought it was fair that FP queues do not get the full queue show experience because by breezing through and not waiting you're NOT getting the full queue experience, it's a sacrifice you make in the interest of having more time. That's why I still think Indy's FP queue should be fed through the exit and merge at the projector room. It would make things a lot easier if they could fill up the inner queue and not have to keep it open to allow FP's through. If you want the same experience as everyone else, you should wait like everyone else. It gives incentive to NOT use Fastpass.Joey AKA "dlfreak"

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

Excellent pics KNRG. That queue looks fantastic as does the surrounding area. The only think I don't like is the trashcans.
