Quick poll... While gliding backwards in the darkness on Spaceship Earth recently amid the chicken wire and unfinished show pieces, who here has been tempted to yank down the black curtains which are now right next to the vehicles as they drift slowly past them?
Maybe a better question is why no one has done it yet..?

What didn't they put in? I rather dislike the ending scene (the lights and curtains), but the questionnaire and the video is actually entertaining. Every time I ride it people always laugh and enjoy that part. I just miss the city of the future and the scenes that were removed.

we injoyed the ride ,the first part of December, but had some trouble with the screen indicating what language we wanted. I pushed English and we viewrd the whole thing with a Great Japanese lady enthralling in our ear. The second time through my husband held my hands and they opted for English for us. The characters looked SO much better than when we saw it 3 years ago! and the pictures and silly future predictions for us were fun. We will definately go see it again.

It's weird reading the comments on YouTube and other sites that say "here goes another Disney classic" and "they ruined a great ride". I highly disagree - Disney really outdid themselves on this one. When I first rode in January 08 I wasn't overly enthralled with the ending, but on my most recent visit in August, I noticed a great number of tweaks to it. It seemed like a tribute to Horizons in multiple ways: choosing your own ending, it being drawn in the style of "future from the 50s" scene in Horizons, and the part about transportation in the video seemed an awful lot like that transportation movie played in Horizons.
My only complaint is that the soundtrack audio wasn't set high enough. It's brilliant if you listen to it... but the playback is much too quiet, at least compared to the old soundtrack.
Being a Communications major myself, I also find this script to be the best. I like how the narrator now connects the scenes together instead of them being separate as in previous scripts. The new script is much more conversational, as if you really were on a tour through history, but yet it keeps intact much of Ray Bradbury's vision.
I'm curious to see what's behind the curtains. New show scenes to be revealed, or dismantled sets from previous incarnations?"I like maxims that don't encourage behavior modification."
