Spaceship Earth ever to be finished?

There's been some rambling that along with the announcement of Space Mountain's closing at MK that Epcot's Spaceship Earth will be completed prior to that event.

    Anyone else have their doubts?

So a quick poll.. When do you think Spaceship Earth will see the ending "finished" if at all?

I didn't really miss that it was not finished, when we rode last month. I would be happy to see something behind the draping, but it did not detract from the "show" that was put on.

I have no clue. I keep reading ruminations of new triangles appearing, moved curtains, etc. on the descent. marn1971 at WDWmagic has had a lot to say, and I've found him to be spot-on. Sounds like all the work to Spaceship Earth's descent scene is being done during third shift.

Supposedly all of the work they are doing could've been completed in a few weeks time had the ride stayed closed a bit longer, but due to pressure from park management, the ride was open without the descent complete. I rode during the soft-openings, and the descent had NOTHING other than the videos -- and when I went again in August there were triangles everywhere.

Rumor has it there will be projections on these triangles. They seemed a bit small, in my opinion though.

I think people saying new triangles have been added at all in the last 6 months are just working themselves into a tizzy and seeing stuff as being new that had been there.

I've ridden SSE enough and looked at the triangle enough to know that no new ones have been installed in a long time.

I wont rule out that some sort of change has happened behind the curtains, but those triangles have not been touched or changed in a long time and barely at all since they were first installed. Like within the first month or two after their installation is when a few got the blue treatment - after that nothing has changed.

First people said they saw projection patterns on them - not true, was merely the vehicles passing the blacklights pointed at some of them. And more recently people report "new" triangle. Sorry, they are the same ones that have been there for a while.

I disagree. I find the current ending to be terrible.

The old fiber optic city may have been a bit cheesy and outdated but it still was spectacular to see. It was engrossing. The current videos are at best cliche.
